hmmm maybe some didnt get my post? Every president comments on severe weather casualties and problems. They assure the people the government is behind them to help. They often site FEMA is on the way to offer assistance. trump went golfing and has said NOTHING ( see post above ). Because he does not give a rats ass about anyone but himself.

First, you cripple NOAA, then you hide that any weather related issue occured. Then of course, you blame Biden and Obama for not informing you.

Trump is on the golf course again while all this is going on.

Well, he's been golfing non-stop, just like these weather events.

Just Clicking

Kentucky and Arkansas are getting hit hard by flooding... Does anyone know if they've sent in FEMA yet? Better yet, does FEMA still exist?

The Trump administration has taken several actions to support Kentucky following recent tornadoes and severe weather:

Emergency Declarations:

President Trump declared an emergency for Kentucky on April 4, 2025, authorizing FEMA to coordinate disaster relief efforts across all 120 counties. This includes providing equipment, resources, and funding for emergency protective measures at 75% federal cost-sharing.

Earlier, a Major Disaster Declaration was approved on February 24, 2025, enabling federal funding for individuals and local governments in ten counties affected by storms, flooding, and landslides. This funding supports temporary housing, home repairs, low-cost loans for uninsured property losses, and hazard mitigation measures statewide.

FEMA Assistance:

FEMA has been mobilized to provide meals, water, generators, and other essential commodities. Urban Search and Rescue teams and emergency communication support were also deployed to assist state and local responders.

Residents impacted by the disasters can apply for assistance through FEMA's online platforms or helpline.

Coordination with Local Authorities:

Federal Coordinating Officer Jeremy Slinker was appointed to oversee recovery operations in affected areas.

The administration worked closely with Kentucky officials to expedite approvals and ensure swift response efforts. Governor Andy Beshear praised the administration for its quick turnaround on emergency declarations.

These actions aim to alleviate hardships faced by Kentuckians and support recovery efforts in the wake of severe weather events.

The Trump administration has taken several actions to support Missouri after the recent tornadoes and severe storms:

National Guard Deployment:

President Trump announced the deployment of the National Guard to assist in recovery efforts across states affected by the tornadoes, including Missouri. The Guard has been actively involved in providing security, clearing debris, and offering humanitarian aid to impacted communities.

Federal Disaster Declaration Request:

Governor Mike Kehoe requested a federal disaster declaration for 28 counties in Missouri following the March 14-15 tornadoes. This request seeks FEMA Individual Assistance for affected residents and Public Assistance for infrastructure repairs.

Missouri's congressional delegation, led by Representative Jason Smith and Senators Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt, urged President Trump to approve the disaster declaration to expedite federal aid for recovery efforts.

Preliminary Damage Assessments:

Joint damage assessments involving FEMA, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and local officials were conducted to document destruction and determine eligibility for federal assistance. These assessments revealed extensive damage to homes, businesses, and public infrastructure across 23 counties.

Coordination with Volunteer Organizations:

Volunteer groups such as the Red Cross of Missouri, Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief, Convoy of Hope, and the Salvation Army have been providing meals, emergency supplies, shelter services, and debris removal in partnership with state and federal agencies.

These measures aim to address immediate needs, support recovery efforts, and provide financial assistance to individuals and communities affected by the severe weather.

The Trump administration has taken the following actions to support Arkansas after the recent tornadoes and flooding:

Emergency Declaration:

President Trump approved Arkansas’ request for an Emergency Declaration on April 5, 2025. This authorizes FEMA to provide Direct Federal Assistance statewide to help Arkansas respond to the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that began on April 2, 2025.

FEMA Coordination:

FEMA is mobilized to coordinate federal disaster relief efforts, including identifying and providing equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. Emergency protective measures are funded at 75% federal cost-sharing.

Focus on Flooded Areas:

The assistance targets areas affected by flooding along major rivers, including the Buffalo River, Spring River, Cache River, Black River, Mississippi River, and others. These rivers are experiencing significant water level rises due to ongoing rainfall.

Support for Infrastructure and Safety:

Federal resources aim to protect property, public health, and safety while addressing infrastructure needs such as roadways and levees.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders expressed gratitude for the administration's quick response and emphasized that the federal support will help save lives and mitigate damage across Arkansas.

I also live on a hill (though I doubt higher than yours... lol).

But all that was NOTHING compared to me rolling into work today (up in West Carrollton) and seeing SNOW on peoples' cars in the parking lot.

I feel I see those situations (major accident/flipped semi) on the opposite side of the 75 from where I'm driving 3 times to every time I get stuck in those traffic jams.

So I'm due for a real crappy drive in or out of the office in the next week or two.
