Thought I'd start a thread for this very reason, so here goes.....
First week, would you start
Sam Bradford against Atlanta or Ryan Tannehill against Washington
Chris Ivory against the Browns or Crowell against the Jets
Right now i'm looking at starting Bradford and Ivory.

I'd probably go Tannehill/Ivory but wouldn't blame you going the other routes.

Bradford and Ivory for me ... Atlanta's D is AWFUL and it'll be high scoring
Would you guys start Crowell vs Jets or Bell vs Chargers
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Would you start Manning vs. Baltimore or Rodgers vs. Chicago?
I'm having trouble with this one. Rodgers has consistently provided big outings vs. the team he likes to beat up on best. However, they don't have Jordy Nelson anymore, and David Bakhtiari is their left tackle. The last time they played (in GB) Rodgers threw 6 TDs and left after the 1st half. However, his targets are depleted with Nelson gone and Cobb banged up, and the Bears defense is bad enough that the Packers might be content to run the ball a lot. I thought for sure I would go with Rodgers because it's so safe.
But the last time the Broncos faced the Ravens, it was the first week of the (2013) season, Peyton threw for 462 yards and 7 TDs.
*edit* nm, I'm going with rodgers. The Broncos are starting Ty Sambrailo at LT. Too much risk.

Sorry I didn't see the post till now... Well it looks like you made the right decision I've had a good first week. I debated all off-season if I should of kept Jimmy Graham or not. I decided against it and ended up waiting till the last few rounds to pick up a TE. My back to back picks were Jordan Reed and Austin Seferian-Jenkins both had solid first games. Long season to go, so we'll see.

Do you think it's worth holding onto DeAngelo Williams now that Bell is back?

as a handicuff, I would unless you have someone else that you want to pick up.
there's always the chance that Bell could pull a hammy or something since he hasn't had real game action the past few games

My usual every year dilemma after a couple games, I always get that itch to try to find ways to better my team through trades.
Last year I talked myself into offering Matt Forte for AJ Green and Sankey (i'm in a keeper league). My dumb thinking at the time was Forte was due for a down year and just a year or two left, b/c of age and miles on the body. Green, being a Wr has a lot more years left b/c of being younger and receivers can play a lot longer at a higher pace than Rb's. So I thought it would help a little short term, but was looking long term. Naturally AJ was injured a couple days later and missed quite a bit of time.
I still made the playoffs b/c I do well drafting, pickups, and had a solid team, but this move def costed me a chance at the finals and also League Champ.
So here we are this year. Week 2 again and here is what i'm looking at.
I have:
Rb's: Melvin Gordon Chris Ivory Giovani Bernard David Johnson (taxi squad)
Wr's: AJ Green DeAndre Hopkins Amari Cooper Donte Moncrieft Jordy Nelson (I picked him up hoping I can hold on to him to use as a possible keeper next year)
The team I'm looking at has 3 top running backs, but nothing for receivers.
Rb's - J. Charles, A. Peterson and Jeremy Hill
Wr's - D. Jackson, Martavis Bryant, Doug Baldwin, N. Agholor, and D. Funchess.
I'm debating at offering a trade of one of my receivers, and maybe Ivory (?), for either Charles or Jeremy Hill (probably Hill b/c he's younger).
Do you think I should send an offer? Or do you think I should just stand pat with what I have, which is basically good depth at RB and WR in case of injury.
As much as I get the trigger finger on wanting to pull it, I'm almost against doing it. But at the same time, Bernard had a good game and this is possible the lowest Hill's value will be. Plus factor in the "he's freaking out b/c of his terrible receivers" thing.

I'd say Crabtree, but it's close
Ameer Abdullah or Isaiah Crowell James Jones or Kendall Wright

I actually don't think it's close. Crow is safe (Duke takes less touches whereas Abdullah loses them to Bell and Riddick).
James Jones also. Above Wright or Crabtree. Davante Adams is hobbled with an ankle injury and the Chiefs secondary doesn't scare me off anyone.

Ameer Abdullah or Isaiah Crowell James Jones or Kendall Wright probably James Jones and just hope the TD's keep coming. Id go Ameer, especially if its PPR. If its not Id probably still lean Ameer.

Who should go in my flex position for a PPR league?
Stevie Johnson vs. MIN Todd Gurley vs. PIT
I'm confident Gurley will be an animal this season, but this will be his first action of the season and I'm sure they'll have him limited with the number of plays he'll be in for. Stevie Johnson has had two excellent games so far for the Chargers, but he's unpredictable. This is a tough call for me.

Which 3 of these 4 would you start?
Carlos Hyde, Jeremy Hill, Mark Ingram, David Johnson.
My receivers are awful.
NFL.com, I think standard scoring (no PPR).

Hyde, Hill, and Ingram. All three are considered their teams' #1 RB options and should get the bulk of the carries. David Johnson is behind Chris Johnson on the depth chart and more of a boom-or-bust player.

A guy in my league just dropped Victor Cruz who, from what I've read, should return next week. (I'm 2nd in line for our waiver wire.) I'd have to cut either Roddy White or Nelson Agholor from my bench. First of all, not sure I want to do it and secondly, which should I drop? Personal preference: keep Algholor, but I'm wondering how long before Chip Kelly starts using him?

I would not drop Roddy White. Julio is going to be seeing double teams on just about every snap maybe starting this week. If you want to take Cruz, I'd drop Agholor... but I'm not sure I'd make the move. JMO. I'm not a fantasy expert.

I dropped Agholor this week in favor of Antonio Gates. Agholor isn't doing anything and I don't trust their offense to come together like all of the "experts" do. I'm not sure Bradford fits in that scheme and it is hurting Agholor's value. Take Cruz, he's a known commodity, Agholor is too much of an unknown.

David Johnson is behind Chris Johnson on the depth chart and more of a boom-or-bust player. That's what I'm thinking, but Hill's .1 total points and 2 fumbles last week has me somewhat worried. Gio Bernard looked pretty good last week, and the Bengals might ride the hot hand. Drew Brees being hurt and NO's offensive ineptitude in general this year could let Carolina stack the box. Ingram could have a rough time, or he could benefit from increased carries. Hyde's dinged up, and with the way the Cardinals have been playing on Offense, the 49ers will probably be playing from behind. If the Cards get a decent lead, I think they could try to get David Johnson an extended look. I do think Johnson is due for more of a bust game, though. Next week hopefully Arian Foster will play and my RB situation will be even more complicated.

Thanks Steve and LW. I'm pretty deep at RB (Adrian Peterson, Melvin Gordon, Dion Lewis, Chris Ivory, and Todd Gurley), and I don't want to give up on Agholor yet so I cut Joique Bell, who's losing snaps to Ameer Abdullah in Detroit. So now we'll see if the guy whose 1st in line on the waiver wire takes Cruz.

So I have Jordan Reed and Crockett Gilmore as my TE's. Gilmore is hurt and Maxx Williams will play tonight. So looking forward, would you drop Gilmore and pick up Williams and hope he pans out or would you just stay course with Reed and Gilmore?
Also, are you starting Melvin Gordon or Amari Cooper this weekend?
I picked Gordon at the moment.

I'm wondering if I should sit T.Y. Hilton. He has a banged up knee, though he's classified as "probable" today. I'm more concerned with Luck's injury affecting Hilton's production. My options to replace him would be Travis Benjamin, Stevie Johnson, or Eric Decker (who is also "probable" / injured). Then, at Flex, I have to choose between whichever of the above guys don't play @ Hilton's spot and Charles Clay or Chris Ivory. (Need to act soon if I want to play Decker or Ivory - their game starts in about a hour.)

Honest question. Standard scoring league.
Megatron vs AZ or our Benjamin vs Ravens
Benji has been good to great and is facing a sub-par pass D while Johnson has been disappointing and is facing a tougher D.

Can't believe I'm saying it.....but that's a tough decision with how well Benji has played.
But I'm staying with my stud in Megatron even with that tough match up. He's due for a breakout game anytime, and I just have a hard time trusting Browns players. Even during their hot streaks, I always have a feeling that disappointment looms around the corner.

CJ has had over 10 targets the past 3 games. He almost had a TD last game that was knocked out at the goal line and their TE Ebron is out for the game.
He would be my pick

Playoffs are here!
I have 2 big decisions to make. Standard scoring league.
Carson Palmer vs St. Louis or Tyrod Taylor vs Philly
Carson has been my stud all year long, but Tyrod has been putting up some serious points lately, and he's playing a generous D. Minny's D is good but not great.
Javorious Allen vs Seattle at the flex spot I have Gio Bernard vs Pitt, Desean Jackson vs Bears, Darren McFadden vs Packers and even Davante Parker vs Giants. Should Allen get bumped for any of those guys?

I have a playoff game this weekend too.
My lineup is set with the exception of the QB spot.
I currently own Winston (vs NOR), Tannehill (MNF vs NYG), and Carr (vs. Den)
They are all projected the same points, 16...
I've crossed Carr off the list because the game is in Denver and the Bronco D scares me..
I love Winston vs the Saints horrible D. Tannehill could blow up the Giants but MNF always scares me.
Surprisingly, Johnny Manziel is projected at 17 points. Tyrod Taylor (vs PHI) is also available and projected at 19 points. The highest projection for a QB is Casonn Palmer 21 points, against Minnesota tonight, who my opponent has...
What would you guys do about the QB spot?

I'd go for Tyrod. He's been good, has weapons, and will run in a TD every once in a while.
That dude has been money, and Philly D is trash.
Seriously, Taylor doesn't get anywhere near the props he should.

Famous Jameis. Minimum 3 TDs. Your other guys could conceivably end up with one or zero . TB NO should be a track meet.

I don't know if he's available in your league, but I had good luck with Ryan Fitzpatrick one week when Andy Dalton was on a Bye and Roethlisberger was hurt. He got me 26.7 points. He has a pretty favorable matchup this week with the Titans.

Fitz is available, but the Jets offense scares the crap out of me. They are always capable of having a game where they kick FG's..
I've decided to stick with Winston.
My other issue now is at TE. I picked up Scott Chandler for NE, but with Gronk being a gametime decision for Sunday Night Football, I'm kinda forced to start someone else. I picked up Fleener for Indy. Not a lot of options there.
