How did everyone do this year?
I did my first team today. I will have one more draft before Thursday. If anyone is looking for an extra for a $ league, let me know. I'd like to control 3 teams this year.
This one is a 12 team PPR league.
QB - Luck
RB - Murray, Gordon, Sankey, McFadden
WR - Davante Adams, Wallace, Agholor, John Brown, Moncrief, Malcom Floyd, Terrance Williams
TE - Graham
K - Prater
DST - Jets
You start 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 TE, 1 flex, K, DST
I have an open roster spot, because I screwed up one of my last picks and drafted a second defense. I had a second defense in my queue. I don't put a ton of value into my last few picks, because I tend to look for surprise guys the first week. I mean who really plays bench players in the first week? Nobody's on bye, your roster should be healthy. Unless you drafted Bell or someone like that I can see, but otherwise your bench guys stay on the bench in the first week or two....
I also have no backup QB. I figure Luck is a beast and won't need to find another QB until Indy's bye. I don't see a huge difference in drafting a backup QB late versus picking one up on waiver/FA due to bye or injury...
I had the 9th pick and went with Murray. I had him last year when he was with the Cowboys and he was a great piece. I figure in Chip Kelly's system he'll be fine.
Our draft was this afternoon and the news of Terrence West being traded literally came down as soon as we closed the draft... I drafted Sankey because I expect Tennessee to be pretty run heavy this year and I think they'll offer Sankey a chance to be much better than he was last year. Of cours now I think they're going to force West in and take away snaps from Sankey... We all know West is garbage, but obviously they brought him in for a reason. Sankey was pretty bad last year. I figured in a run heavy offense, which I think Tennessee will be, Sankey would be a solid backup for my fantasy team. Now I'm wondering if I need to be looking elsewhere. Crappy RB's who split carries is just no bueno in fantasy.

QB - Brees/Newton RB - Peterson/Charles/McCoy/Gurley WR - Jones/Thomas/Green/Jeffery/Evans/Hopkins/Watkins TE - Gronkowski/Cameron K - Gostkowski Def - Buffalo
I picked 3rd.. in a 4 team league with my brothers.. Should be interesting.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Team one: I'm in Love with Lacy's Mom (12 team standard, 2/2 RB/WR, 1flex).
QB: Tannehill, Kaep RB: AP, Alf Morris, Joseph Randle, Ryan Matthews, McKinnon, Matt Jones WR: (so boom or bust) Cooks, Davante Adams, Agholor, Martavis Bryant, Davante Parker TE: Just Travis Kelce K: Matt Bryant D: GB Last on waiver priority.
Team two: Joe Hadenfreude Win (10 team yahoo pro, 3 WR 2 RB). QB: Bradford, Newton RB: J. Hill, Alf Morris, Blount, Gio Bernard, Matt Jones WR: Julio Jones, Cooks, Jarvis Landry, Agholor, Brian Quick TE: Just Kelce for now. K: Prater D: CAR (always stream) First on waivers.
I like my Yahoo team better (first is ESPN). Espn was my work friends and they went QB crazy. One guy currently rosters four, lol.
Politicians are puppets, y'all. Let's get Geppetto!

14 Team, auto draft w/ pre-rankings. I picked 11th.
QB: Tom Brady (2 - 18) RB: LeSean McCoy (1 - 11) RB: Latavius Murray (3 - 39) WR: Davante Adams (4 - 46) WR: Brandon Marshall (6 - 74) TE: Jason Witten (7 - 95) Flex: Doug Martin (5 - 67) D/ST: Bengals D/ST (13 - 179) K: Mike Nugent (14 - 186)
Bench: Sam Bradford (8 - 102), DGB (9 - 123), Darren McFadden (10 - 130), Michael Floyd (11 - 151), Terrance Williams (12 - 158), Chris Johnson (15 - 207)
The only pick I'm really bummed about was DGB. He's got a lot of potential in both directions, but there were a couple of guys that went after him I'd rather have. 11th in a 14 team league isn't a great place to draft because by the third round pick 39, it's pretty sapped. I felt like had to get Brady, though, and there's no way to know who would have been available by #39.

12 league team x 2 AFC and NFC, you play your own conference the whole season and playoffs then the championship game is between the winners of the AFC and NFC. Two separate drafts, so technically the championship game could be some of the same players playing against each other.
the Mini-Ditka's (we drafted this past Thurs)
QB - Tannehill, Bradford RB - Melvin Gordon, Chris Ivory, Crowell WR - AJ Green, D. Hopkins, Amari Cooper, Ty Montgomery TE - Jordan Reed, Austin Seferian-Jenkins K - Brian McManus DL - Chandler Jones, Everson Griffen LB - Bobby Wagner, Karlos Dansby, Demario Davis DB - Landon Collins
DEF - Eagles, Rams
We pickup our free agents/ taxi squad Wednesday. So I'll be looking to add a couple RB's or maybe another WR.

I didn't do my homework since I've been so busy at work lately. My first team is my "serious" league. It's standard scoring, with 2 RB, 2 WR, 1Flex roster.
QB: Drew Brees, Sam Bradford, Carson Palmer RB: LeSean McCoy, The Crow, Giovani Bernard, DeAngelo Williams, Danny Woodhead WR: Megatron, Julian Edelman, Steve Smith, Devin Funchess TE: Gronk D: Eagles and Jets
I picked up 3 QBs so I could trade one away, and I already have a trade offer (and not even from the guy who had auto-draft screw him over by not picking a QB until like his last pick). I felt like I reached for Brees, who many are saying is going to have a not so great year, so I came right back a pick or two later and grabbed Bradford. That offense put on a pretty good show this preseason. I had a brainfart and forgot Bernard was the backup in Cinci, and drafted him in the middle of the draft. I might hang onto him to see what happens there. Deangelo Williams I picked late, and I'm only hanging onto him the first couple games. Might not even play him.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Vandelay Industries 12-team PPR league, I had the 3rd pick in a snake draft
Starters QB- Aaron Rodgers WR- DeAndre Hopkins WR- Amari Cooper RB- Adrian Peterson RB- T.J. Yeldon TE- Kyle Rudolph Flex- Nelson Agholor K- Stephen Gostkowski D- Seattle Seahawks
Bench QB- Marcus Mariota RB- Todd Gurley RB- Tevin Coleman WR- Stevie Johnson WR- Dorial Green-Beckham TE- Dwayne Allen
I'm never afraid to take rookies if I think they could make impacts. Usually, that strategy works well for me. Le'Veon Bell went 1st, Antonio Brown went 2nd, so I was ecstatic to get AP 3rd overall. If I picked 1st, Peterson would have been my choice. I couldn't believe Antonio Brown was the second player taken.

HAHAHAHA!!! Yep. Everyone in my league undervalues QBs, I don't get it. I'd rather have the #1 or #2 QB than the #20 RB.

I wanna like.. uh.. thanks for AP.. Yeah, in the league I posted, Rodgers went 1. I was able to nab Demarco Murray with my first, and since I was further back in the draft, my second pick allowed me to get Andrew Luck, who is potentially a better fantasy play this year.

I ended up drafting DeAngelo Williams, which ended up being HUGE! The only problem now is I have to find his replacement.
Actually, the draft I posted above is looking better and better by the day. Somebody got desperate for a QB and traded me Arian Foster for Brees. Given how Brees has been doing, I think I'll be very happy about that trade by the end of the year.
I grabbed Gio Bernard, and it looks like Cinci might be ramping up his carries, especially if Hill keeps coughing up the ball. Crowell had a rough start, but I think he'll be a nice matchup type guy. Our Oline isn't dominant enough for Crowell to be a week in week out starter.

-495+147++/*- I ended up drafting DeAngelo Williams, which ended up being HUGE! As an owner of L. Bell, I am a bit worried that the Steelers may ride Williams for as long as they can. He's been pretty decent in two games, and you just wonder if Bell is rusty coming into week 3 when everyone else has 2 games under their belts. My fantasy teams are awful. I drafted Demarco Murray in one league and Lesean McCoy in another, just bleh.

So how did everyone do this year? I finished the regular season 9-4, won the Eastern Division, and got a first round bye in our playoffs. During the year, I traded Megatron and Greg Olsen for Gronkowski, and then traded Chris Ivory for Amari Cooper. Now with Gronk hurt, my TE for the playoffs is <GULP> Richard Rogers. If I win the league I get $250, which is nice.

After winning back to back championships I lost yesterday in the first round of the playoffs. That is unless Lamar Miller loses his first 3 carries via fumble and gets injured for the games. I did win my division and the bonus for most points in my division though ($125) so not a total loss.
The thing that hurts most is I may be going home due to a Marcus Mariota 40+ yd TD reception. At this point im actually hoping for a big game from Lamar Miller so the Mariota TD reception doesnt end up being the reason I lose.

Think that's bad ... this was the team I started with:
QB - Peyton Manning Den (Out) WR - Calvin Johnson Det Det WR - Keenan Allen SD (IR) WR - Marques Colston NO RB - Marshawn Lynch Sea (Out) RB - Mark Ingram NO (IR) TE - Jimmy Graham Sea (IR) RB - Isaiah Crowell Cle RB - T.J. Yeldon Jax WR - Sammy Watkins Buf QB - Joe Flacco Bal (IR) RB - Duke Johnson Jr. Cle TE - Vernon Davis Den WR - Anquan Boldin SF K - Adam Vinatieri Ind Def - Houston Hou
Naturally, I dropped guys like Boldin and Houston to pick up guys like:
Karlos Williams (Out) Rishard Matthews (Out) Andy Dalton (Out)
So of course the guys I dropped bounced back the week after I dropped them. I also picked up Green Bay's Defense and they've dropped 4 of the last 5 games since then. I changed my team name to "Kiss of Death".

any steelers you can pick up? Yeah, I need to start using my powers for good instead of evil. I considered picking up Rothlisberger over Manning in the draft, and the thought alone probably injured him for a couple weeks.
