Pretty sure he was our first round pick in 2008. He was 56th pick in 2008 by Seattle. He was traded to the Cavs for cash considerations

I've seen an idea of pick 24 + Haywood for Kevin Martin. I'd really like that deal.

He wouldn't lower our number. The cash could be used to help Dan Gilbert PAY the luxury tax, but since he isn't signed to a contract, he wouldn't help lower the overall cap number at all.

If you're San Antonio. I'd consider trading Splitter + Mills to Cleveland for Haywood + 24 if it means being able to sign Aldridge. We'd probably have to throw in Mike Millers corpse to make the salaries work.
If we got Splitter and Mills, I let TT walk and slide Andy to PF.

Pretty sure he was our first round pick in 2008. Not to be confused with his distant relative Shaka Kaun. Late second round pick. We traded him for cash considerations according to the Wikipedia. Doubt we'd get too much back in return now. I'm pretty sure you are thinking of Sasha Cohen..

man the nba draft moves so much faster than the NFL's. i really like the pace.

How can it be a threat if only one of the three can stay healthy?

Hm. I thought Charlotte would go for Justice Winslow but they chose Kaminsky instead.

I like Hollis-Jefferson. But it's all but a foregone conclusion that whoever we take won't be here coming opening tip next year. I like Harrell as a player, but it would smell funky if we paid him (and his agent) $5+ million to not play.

DAMN! RHJ goes one slot before us. He has the potential to be another Kawhi Leonard type player.

We have at least 3 roster spots that'll be open come July 1st. A guy like RHJ would of been great, because he'd play Delly-like defense and give you quality minutes off the bench.

Not sure why Jalen put our need as youth. We're a pretty young team.

It's probably a salary dump. I don't think 2nd rounders get guaranteed contracts, so they figure they can save some cash on a draft pick and pay all the guys we already have.

No one at #24 was going to be worth a damn, either. Anyone we kept would have cost a lot of money, and would be glued to the bench.

By trading out of first round, Cavs don't have to worry about cap hold of first rounder.

we still need a bench, a 2 and a backup pg...24 would have been a good place to pick up someone that could help. Hopefully we find some value later. I hate trading for picks in NBA draft.
