Fellow Browns fans.

We have a pretty diverse group of posters on the boards.

I'm curious to know if any of you enjoy reading fiction and might be interested in critiquing?

To be blunt: I'm trying to get into creative writing as a profession. I've written a 95 page screen play and am simply wondering if anybody on the board might be interested in reading it and providing some feedback.

If this isn't board appropriate, please refs feel free to delete the thread.

If there are any readers/writers interested in helping me out and reading a new story in the process, please private message me! (I can email you a PDF of said story).

If you're not interested, just click the back arrow in the top left corner of your internet browser and simply move on with your life!

Thanks in advance.

That's a tall order. I could try and read it. but I'm not sure how long it would take.

No worries.

Not trying to put anyone out.

Simply for those parties who are interested.

Can't promise I'll be able to read the whole thing but I do like a well spun yarn. Go ahead and shoot it on over.

What you might consider if you're interested in writing and in others writing styles is to involve them in a story.

Create a story premise, create characters, give those characters secrets, assign a character to each member who chooses to be involved. Then after the basic outline is posted with character bio's, let each member write more of the story for their character, not divulging their secrets while trying to find the secrets of the others.

The story will evolve naturally, set only a few rules like one member can't kill or remove another member from the story plot. It needs to remain believable like a character can't suddenly have super human traits and such but otherwise the story is open to their imaginations. If someone needs to die in the story line and a member isn't willing to give up their character, create a star trek style "red shirt" character", they die nicely without ruining the structure of the plot.

Lets face it, there are a number of members who like to write novels here almost every day, might as well make it creative.

Was almost idealist enough to major in CW, so I'll be more than happy to give it a read. Just don't expect instant feedback smile

Shoot me a PM with your email address.

It's 96 pages, so it's better that I don't copy/paste.

I don't need instant feedback, I'm working on my second story so I won't be doing any drastic edits or changes for another month or two at least. I'm just looking to get some unbiased eyes on the piece.

I am willing. Taught CW, but rusty. PM me. Comment on what I see. Not hip to screenplay mechanics. Lemme know. I want some ideas about what you are looking for as far as comments, or your questions.

Good luck!

I've sent the story out to a handful of you, but at this point I may have missed one or two of you as well.

If you're still interested in reading the Screenplay, send me a private message with your email and I'll send it to you.
