The trailer looked absolutely amazing, this game pretty much brings back my childhood. DARN you Sony!

I don't really get the point of remakes of games you've already played. At least give me a new story. JMO.

Well that story was so good, broke so many records, still regarded as the one of the best games ever. I don't mind playing the same story especially this story.

Agreed. Updated graphics, faster load times, but that's pretty much it prob.

But it's still an old game I've already played. I'm gonna leave this for the past. Plenty of new games coming out to get excited about.

It's not PS4 exclusive forever. You wouldn't need to buy a PS4 unless you want it release date.

That said, I'm really excited about this. I just recently sftarted a new save on FF7 on my Vita. I usually don't like the remakes but I have been waiting for this one.

You can buy Final Fantasy 7 on steam right now for I think $7.99.

All things considered, that's a pretty damn good deal.

In some cases I actually do like HD remakes of old favorite games, as long as it doesn't prevent the company from coming out with NEW stuff.

(Example: Resident Evil HD Remake).

Personally, my favorite was Final Fantasy IX and X -- Neither of which can be purchased or played on Steam, which sucks..

Never got into Final Fantasy VII -- I attempted to AFTER playing IX and X and he graphics just were too hard to adjust to (as it was a step backwards by comparison).

Is it bad if I want them to turn this into a FF Type-0/Kingdom Hearts battle system for the remake? I can't really get into turn based RPGs.

They're definitely an acquired taste, that's for sure.

Agree, I didn't understand it when they did it with Resident Evil either.

I would not be opposed if this remake actually changed fighting styles and content. That would make the game more interesting. I enjoy turn based games.

The upscaled HD graphics and HD sound makes for a much more enjoyable experience. Just an FYI.

Go back and play it for PS1 and then play it on PC or Xbox 360 and you'll see.

OK, I guess I could see if they are trying to reach a demo that hadn't previously played the game it makes a lot of sense... the story is already developed, they know it's a winner, it's not something that would feel "dated" in premise and there is an audience who didn't get to play it the first time around. I get that aspect of it now, I just don't understand why someone would want to dedicate that kind of time to a game they've played before.

I'm 26 with no kids. Girlfriend is a nurse and works nights.

Needless to say, I've currently got the time for video games

The Resident Evil remake is fantastic.

I read that its not complete clone of the original, it will have its own identity. The main plot I guess is the same but must of the details will change to give the fans something new.

This makes me more excited (I am saving up for a PS4 now)
