This is a wrestling thread.

It was a huge part of my life growing up.

Today per WWE.com the American Dream Dusty Rhodes passed away.

Such a shame. 69 doesn't really seem all that old.

What a pioneer the man was.

R.I.P.

frown

I never watched his matches, but I truly understand his impact on the business.

Oh man, he's on my Mt. Rushmore of wrestlers. Loved him growing up.

He was never the most in shape guy but he seemed in pretty good health every time I saw him on TV or in an interview.

Crap.

He had a really big hand in the success that wrestling had in the late 70's and 80's, he helped shape NWA and WCW wrestling in a big way. I'm hoping the WWE will have a DVD collection of his best matches come out soon.

Any of you listen to the Steve Austin podcast? He loves to rave about Dusty any chance he gets.

Man, I remember him from when I was a kid. He looked like the most unlikely wrestler ... his body was hardly anything even remotely resembling athletic .... but people loved him.

RIP Dusty. My condolences to those he leaves behind.
