LOL... no.
he has a nice contusion on his back, his shin and his hand, afraid he damaged some tendons in his thumb.
Has regionals this weekend... may not be able to go.. probably would not have won or advanced still fun to compete.

He did land on the mat, right? Poles aren't supposed to break, but once in a while, they do.
I guess the best news is he didn't have any part of the pole impale him.
You may not know right now - but do you think it will affect the mental part of his future jumps/vaults?

yeah, he barely landed on the mat.
he did jump again a couple of times so I don't think it will bother him mentally ... we shall see.

Ouch!! This was one of the few events my coach never let me try... He figured I'd do something dumb and hurt myself... Hope he gets to compete at regionals
