Anyone know much about him? I don't watch a ton of college ball but stumbled across him while researching prospects for this year. Giant kid...6'7, seen him listed from 255 to 270. Decent speed for someone that size. Looks like he catches the ball well and isn;t a body catcher. Comes back to the football when the QB is in trouble (which the Penn State QB seems to be alot) Didnt catch a ton of balls in college. Found film with him against B.C and looked like a very adept blocker. He's my early favorite for a round 3 or 4 pick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg7nTsBWZNg

Just looking at the video..he didn't have any trouble catching the ball when he was wide open...he has some tools...looked at one draft sight, they have him ranked 3rd with a 3 round projection.
This kid, Devin Funchess, is an interesting prospect, 6-5 230 WR who is projected in the 1-2 rounds...kind of a tweener.

IIRC, Ozzie Newsome was a tweener that played WR at Bama. I don't know if Funchess should be mentioned in the same breath as Newsome, though. Most of the sites I've looked at list him at WR, only one so far has him at TE. He's got question marks at TE because he's only 230 and apparently not much of a blocker; he's got question marks as a WR because he runs 4.6-4.7 and had trouble getting off the LOS vs MSU's press defense.

Any thoughts on Jeff Heuerman from OSU? He's fairly well thought of, ranked 6th or 7th among TE's. He was very reliable, although not flashy at OSU. He was understandably underused, given the explosiveness of the Buckeyes offense. He's supposed to be a crunching blocker with good hands and surprising speed (4.68) - about the same as Funchess, but 25 lbs heavier at 255. I look at Heuerman as an old school TE, kind of like my fave Browns' TE from a long time ago, Milt Morin. But I've got scarlet & gray sunglasses, so I might be FOS. I'd be interested in others' takes on him, if you have one.

Big Milt was something else, wasn't he? He'd catch the ball in the open field and look for a DB to run at, and then he'd bulldoze them. Guy was a beast, one of my top 5 favorite Browns, all-time.
Hmmm, top 5 favorite Browns ... sounds like a thread.
