Just wondering if anyone else in here is a WWE fan and or watched the Royal Rumble this past Sunday night?

The title match between Cena/Rollins/Lesnar was fantastic but other wise it was a fairly slow paced, predictable pay-per-view.

I'm not a regular watcher of Smackdown or Raw but I do follow the WWE news pretty regularly to see if their is anything worth checking out the day after a show.

I have to say, I know the Attitude Era will never be back, but the product now is so vanilla, repetitive and predictable that it's just not even worth investing the time or money into.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone else watches WWE or had an opinion.

I got the wwe network for a bit last year mainly to watch wrestlemania. Let's just say it peaked there with the Undertaker record being broken.

I think they should push to be edgier... maybe not full attitude era but there is alot of room to work with.

Yeah, their is a lot they can do without bringing back all the blood and nudity, instead they recycle the same story lines, finishes, and characters over, and over, and over...

Yep. Was fun to watch because of wrestling, but ugh.

Going to see RAW at the Schott in a few weeks, hopefully that's really good.

Keep up with it from a distance. Plan on ordering the network some day.

From I understand, people were pretty ticked that Bryan got eliminated rather early and Reigns won. Reigns was actually getting booed. They canceled RAW last night and showed the rumble in its place due to the weather in the northeast. The match itself was about as boring as you can get. They didn't show this, but apparently they did some mic work with the Rock and Reigns later and the fans were so ticked off it even got the Rock rattled, I read.

WWE always seems to push the wrong people. The fans want Bryan, they give it to Reigns.

Also, on RAW last night they did some interviews. Reigns admitted he was a hand picked guy. Then he did a really awkward interview with Lesnar. Lesnar was acting like a total badass without saying a word. Best part of the interview. Everytime Reigns opens his mouth it's cringe worthy.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Reigns inability to work a mic will continue to be his downfall.

Or the WWE's if they continue to push him. Ambrose is by far the most charismatic Shield member and they are wasting him...

Part of me wishes I had never gotten professionally trained (Ref, and Wrestler) so that I could just sit back and enjoy the show as I used to..

The entire booking of the Rumble was terrible. The best thing about the rumble is usually stories and characters interacting that usually dont..

This years was "We have a couple things, get them over with" Nothing was allowed to register, as soon as it happened, and the crowd popped, it was over..

They eliminated Daniel Bryan early, knowing there would be a negative reaction, and hoping it would die down.

It didn't. Even to the point that I started feeling bad for the guys in the ring.

Then they brought out favorites like Ambrose and Ziggler, and Wyatt had been looking strong.. And then even worse IMO than the Bryan elimination, was the lackluster, not even giving them a fighting chance..

The crowd realised zed what was happening. And it got worse. So basically they dried to kill the heat with The Rock (Reigns distant cousin) which even upset them (and apparently The Rock) even more..

It got to the point that the crowd was cheering a Bulgarian from Russia who hates America over Reigns..

This isn't Reigns fault, beyond the fact that he sucks, but he's going to take the brunt of it..

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Agreed. If anyone recorded Raw, go back to this interview and you can hear someone off screen whispering lines to Reigns just as he talks. He is horrible on the mic and has no charisma at all. Heyman was the best part of that interview as he at least brought something to the table other than Lesnar's glare.

Ambrose, Bray, and even Rollins are better on the mic. I wasn't a fan of Rollins, but he's won me over with his heel work the past few weeks. Definitely turning into a guy you want to hate, which has been lacking on WWE as of late.
