That's me!

I'm back after an ~ 8 year hiatus (with a little help from ballpeen and my new best friends - the board refs).

I was institutionalized and out of commission for 1 1/2 years. (no, not prison). Hospital (3 1/2 months) and nursing home (1 year+). I have a little problem walking now due to some nerve damage.

While away, I didn't have access to a PC and when I got out I didn't have a PC. (living in a hospital and nursing home are very expensive - I don't recommend it - go Best Western). Now I'm a pauper. I'm writing this from the Rocky Hill CT PC lab.

Enough past history. Well almost enough. Who's still alive from the old Dawg Talk Days? (1999 - 2006). I missed you all.

Let's tailgate at the muni-lot (does this thread now qualify for this forum?)

Welcome back!

I am sorry to hear about your problems. Hopefully you're on the path to recovery now. I know how trouble much nerve problems can cause. My back causes me extreme pain, and I have started losing feeling in my right leg. I am hopeful that the doctor will be able to correct mine without what you have gone through.

Anyway, welcome back! Great to see a familiar face rejoin the family.

Sure does, I think I remember you from then. That was awhile ago. But I think I joined the board sometime around 2003 or 2004. I think the year William Green was a rookie and then we drafted Winslow.

I'm a past Connecticut resident myself. You at UConn fan? I could definitely use some more support on here defending the huskies vs all their enemies (which, for me tends to be everyone we play.....)

Petey, Although I've been in Connecticut since 1981 (GEEZ 33 years?) I'm an avid Buckeye fan.

Although I am awfully proud to live in such a powerhouse college basketball state. (tiny little eentsy beentsy Connecticut?) Where's Texas?, Florida?, California?, Ohio?

Since when do Connecticutlets (Connecticutians, Connecticuters) play exceptional basketball.

Probably in the classroom. Something Connecticut doesn't have to do

Since Connecticut college basketball greats like Ryan Gomes and Taylor Coppenwrath played for Providence and UVM, lol

Honestly, Andre Drummond is from CT. and Calvin Murphy is from Norwalk, CT. That's where I grew up, our junior basketball league was named after him.

It's alright being an OSU fan though, I've been thinking about moving back to CT, it's just so damn expensive to live there. Much more value in the midwest

Conn!

The Training Camp outing we had with Lil Brownie and the gang still bring very fond memories!

Have wondered about you a lot. Sorry to hear of the unfortunate circumstances that you fell upon. I've had major back surgery myself and also understand the nerve pain.

Hoping you are doing better soon and get back on your feet both health wise and financially. I also moved to Tennessee.

It's great to hear from you Dawg!

Welcome back!

As soon as I saw the thread title I thought, "O-oh, I hope this is good news", and it is!

So glad you're doing better. Sounds like you've been thorough a lot.

There's a few new dawgs here. Missing a few of the old ones.

But as for the rest of us, ain't nobody changed. Still yankin' chains, complaining and having another hopeful off season.

I remember you. I can't remember if we fought or not, but knowing me---we probably did. LOL

Sorry to hear about what you have been through and are still dealing with. I will pray for you and it's good to have you back.

2001 was when I joined the board. You guys were already rockin' it out back then.

That's when I joined too. (though I read the board for quite a while before that)

I actually joined somewhere before 9/11.

Glad you are finally back man. Like I said when we chatted a few days ago on the other site, once the weather turns and it is closer to the season, I expect to see that Christmas Movie list go up.

Later bro

See Conn...I told you the Babe still posted, but rarely these days, but if you show up, I'd bet she shows up to say hello.

That's what old friends do....in her case, a young old friend.

Hey Conn...unless you just want rockyhill, ask the refs to change your name if you wish. Sorry man...I am calling you Conn unless you ask me to not do so.

Your Christmas movie list was one of my favorite threads. Looking forward to the re-birth of it.

Rooting for this team can be rough on a body and soul, huh?
