Ok so I'm assuming Farmer didn't put that list together then? If it's in the Web Crew's Video Room then it can't be the FO's actual FA target list.

If they were highlights of people in case they were signed, then technically it's still our free agent wish list in essence...

This sounds about right. Why would they have that in a room right by the video room. Their headquarters is bigger than that right? Lord I hope so anyway. Man we look stupid lol

Ok, but who made the list of "highlights"? Was it the FO or the Web Video Crew? Because that makes a huge difference right? I could go in there and make a list of who is the most prominent FA from each team but you wouldn't hold the GM to that would you? Does the Web Video Crew have any idea of who we are actually targeting? Lots of questions for sure...

Who cares?!
True or not those names have been linked to the Browns for a while now. I'm failing to see why this is an issue at all.

Hopefully this will put a rest to this... Browns didn’t leak their free-agent board Posted by Mike Florio on March 12, 2014, 7:04 PM EDT Browns Several of you (actually, more than several) have pointed out a photo taken at the Browns’ facility and placed on Reddit and ultimately Twitter. Since many more than several of you will continue to point out the photo until we address it, here goes. The photo shows handwriting that identifies various teams followed by the last names of certain players. Some believe it’s the team’s “free-agent big board.” It’s not, according to the team. A Browns spokesman told PFT that the list is maintained by employees of the team website’s video department. Based only on external reporting and speculation and not on actual information from the football operations, the employees keep a list of players for whom video needs to be ready in the event a visit or a signing with the Browns occurs. The explanation makes sense. The list has no organization or ranking. It’s just names, without regard to position or priority. The visible names are “Verner” (cornerback Alterraun, who signed with the Bucs), “Tate” (running back Ben, who has visited the Browns), “Revis” (cornerback Darrelle, now a free agent), “Carroll” (cornerback Nolan), “Moats” (linebacker Arthur), “Grossman” (quarterback Rex), “Hawkins” (receiver Andrew), and “Edelman” (receiver Julian). Other names are obscured, but it looks like no more than 12 appear. Surely, that’s not every player the Browns are considering in free agency. So it’s much ado about nothing. But we’re not inclined to complain whenever there’s a topic about which there’s much ado. Even if our role is merely to say there’s nothing to see. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/12/browns-didnt-leak-their-free-agent-board/

Leak or not....this was a pretty uninspiring day 2 of FA.
So far we have done two lateral moves, probably to fit the scheme, who may or may not be upgrades or change the locker room culture and still sit on 40mil without filling any roster holes.
We let both KC Guards sign elsewhere without a fight and there's next to nothing left on the market now. Meanwhile, Farmer wasted a lot of valuable time chasing Revis. Hmm...
There's still some talent out there....go get it

I thought the bargain shopping would begin today but there are still big time moves being made.
We're most likely landing Ben Tate & Lord knows what we'll be forking over for Mack.
Still thinking some additional, decent pickups are coming.

Only if Cincy doesn't match, and just about every media outlet I've read has said they will. So, we need a slot receiver.

No they haven't. there was simply a report that they may match it and nothing has been stated by anyone else that would indicate they will match our offer.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bengals plan to match the four-year, $12.2 million offer sheet restricted free agent Andrew Hawkins signed with the Browns. It's a surprise given the $5.3 million guaranteed in the deal and the Bengals depth chart at wideout. It also speaks to just how underrated Hawkins' talent is outside of the league. NFL teams realize that the undersized yet jitterbug quick slot man can be a very valuable piece of a passing game. The Bengals are going to pony up the cash to keep him away from their division rival. Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter Mar 12 - 7:36 AM http://www.rotoworld.com/playernews/nfl/football

The Raiders failed Roger Saffold's physical and then he immediately signed a 5 year contract with the Rams.
What a mess the Raiders are.

After a disagreement in OAK on OT Rodger Saffold's physical condition, he is returning to STL to sign a 5-yr contract with the Rams. Wow.

The Raiders situation is like this:
We let Mack (Veldheer in their case) and Ward (Houston) hit free agency unrestricted even though we have a ton of cap room. Both sign with other teams immediately. We sign a far inferior player to replace Mack to a horrible contract, but he fails his physical.

They originally thought it was Ben Tate. So I am guessing the dude is black. Any guesses?
My guess is Ed Dickson or Brandon Pettigrew.

That's an odd tweet. How do they know it is a TE candidate but not know who it is? And isn't Tate like 5'10" with most TE being 6'3" or taller?
in addition to those you mentioned, here's two (1.5) options. it gets pretty thin beyond these guys: Jermichael Finley Fred Davis (my guess)

Looks like Weeden dead money is $2,159,490 and Campbell is $0

It has to be higher than that.
Weeden had a $4.2 or $4.3 million signing bonus, and was due for a salary of almost $1 million this year. That salary is fully guaranteed. He was due for a 50% guarantee of his salary next year.
He has to be at least $3 million, and maybe $4 million in dead money, when guarantees are taken into account.

$4.2 million in dead money according to the PD, and they break it down. The Browns still have to pay Weeden $2.1 million in guaranteed money, and also have to account for half of his signing bonus, since it hasn't yet been allocated against the cap. Brandon Weeden released by Cleveland Browns | cleveland.com http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2014/03/brandon_weeden_released_by_cle.htmlWeeden, 30, went 5-15 in his two years with the Browns, but learned two different systems and didn't have much of a supporting cast as a rookie, when he went 5-10. He signed a four-year deal in 2012 worth $8.1 million, with $7.511 million guaranteed and a $4.318 million signing bonus. With his signing bonus and base salaries, he earned $5.465 million of his guaranteed money, meaning the Browns still owe him about $2.1 million. They'll have $4.2 million in dead money on their cap this year from the Weeden deal.

Donte Whitner lobbies for a reunion with Ted Ginn Jr.: Cleveland Browns Insider | cleveland.com http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2014/03/donte_whitner_lobbies_for_a_re.htmlCLEVELAND, Ohio – Donte Whitner is happy to be home. He knows of a former high school, college and pro teammate who also would cherish the chance to play for the Browns. The team’s new strong safety has lobbied the franchise to sign free-agent wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. The duo played together at Glenville, Ohio State and the San Francisco 49ers “I sent the guys over here a text message the other day and told them to look at him,” Whitner said Wednesday at his introductory news conference. “I know he’s still a speed guy. He can take the top off the defense. He has a chip on his shoulder also, plus he’s a Cleveland guy, and he feels the same way I feel about this city, the Cleveland Browns winning. “And I know for a fact that he would like to be a Cleveland Brown. If everything goes well, hopefully he’s here.” The Browns are in the free-agent market for a receiver. They signed Cincinnati slot receiver Andrew Hawkins to a four-year deal Tuesday, but multiple media outlets have reported the Bengals intend to match the offer for Hawkins, who received a $1.45 million tender. The 28-year-old Ginn registered 36 receptions for 556 yards and five touchdowns last season with the Carolina Panthers. He also returned 25 kickoffs for a 23.8-yard average and 26 punts for a 12.2-yard average. Ginn reportedly met with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Wednesday. Reunited Part II Cornerback Isaiah Trufant is excited to be reunited with Mike Pettine, who served as his defensive coordinator with the New York Jets. Player and coach were together from 2010-2012. The diminutive Trufant, 31, carved out a role as a reserve defensive back and special-teams contributor with the Jets after spending five years playing in the Arena Football League and United Football League. The Browns signed him to a two-year, $1.54 million deal that includes $1 million guaranteed, according to USA Today. Trufant has played 193 defensive snaps over the past two seasons. “The scheme, I feel, will benefit what I do, and that’s with my speed and quickness and things of that nature,” Trufant said. Golden Girl All NFL fans hate to lose their favorite players in free agency. That includes Olympic gold-medal-winning Russian gymnasts. Olga Korbut, the darling of the 1972 Summer Olympics, is apparently an Arizona Cardinals fan and she's not pleased with Karlos Dansby’s decision to sign with the Browns. @AdamSchefter Oh...The Cardinals losing Dansby to the Browns didn't make me do a backflip on the beam. He was the heart and soul of team! — Olga Korbut (@OlgaKorbut1) March 13, 2014

I see exactly what Pettine and Farmer are doing here. They see what you and I along with a few others have seen as our 3rd down conversion problem. It's NOT the Front 3, nor the OLB's. It's all in the ILB's and Secondary. And it's funny how those are the 2 areas we pretty much left intact last year after hammering the Front 3 and OLB spots.
Seems we identified part of the problem in DQ and Ward. And we go out and agressively land Dansby, who is one of the best coverage backers in the league, and has the instincts that DQ has ALWAYS lacked. Way too many fans get caught up in Tackle Stats. And Whitner is every bit as good as Ward at the LOS and much better in coverage. Two HUGE upgrades that you claim as "Lateral" moves. Major understatement by you.
Now it's time to attack Robertson's other ILB spot.
Enter MOATS. Watch if he's not inked by Friday. That's a solid upgrade to the interior portion of the Linebacker unit. A major part of our 3rd down conversion problems.
I am real interested in seeing what we've got in Slaughter at FS. Between he and Gipson we should be OK for now.
I STILL want to see a bigger CB opposite Haden but GB screwed the pooch when they inked Shields to that almost 10M a year BS deal. Talib is who would've been ideal but we're NOT going to commit upwards of 22M a year between a Talib and Haden (12M).
We need to identify a CB at 26 or 35 with size and press coverage talent to allow Pettine and O'Neil to run this D the way they want it. If we can land that Corner and get Skrine to the slot, this D goes to the next level.
Tate may also be a Brown as soon as TODAY and I'm not convinced Mike Brown and his cheap ass is going to match our offer to Hawkins.
We've been active but keep in mind we MUST be prepared to pay Mack 10M if it comes to his signing the Transition Tag. And add in Haden's extension if we get it done this year.

Browns hope to sign Julian Edelman
Posted by Michael David Smith on March 13, 2014, 9:24 AM EDT
If the Patriots don’t offer Julian Edelman the money he wants, the Browns might.
Multiple reports indicate that the Browns are making a play to attract Edelman to Cleveland. Michael Giardi ‏of CSNNE.com reports that the Browns are making a strong push to get Edelman in the fold, and Jason La Canfora of CBS reports that Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer has been trying to recruit Edelman to Cleveland. Edelman and Hoyer are friends and former teammates on the Patriots.
The Browns’ first attempt to acquire a wide receiver will apparently fail to come to fruition, as the Bengals are expected to match the Browns’ offer to restricted free agent Andrew Hawkins. Edelman would represent the Browns’ second attempt to get better at the position.
Edelman could be a good fit in a Browns passing game that features Josh Gordon as the No. 1 threat. With Gordon drawing coverage away, Edelman can do what he does best and catch short passes in the slot.
The Patriots would miss Edelman’s production if he goes elsewhere. Last year Edelman led the Patriots in catches (105), yards (1,056) and touchdowns (six) and was also New England’s punt returner.
