Just wondering if anyone on here has any recommendations.

Bought a PS3 on Black Friday but didn't get to play it until recently because of my job (working on the water).

So I just finished The Last Of Us, and I loved that game. Definitely one of the best I've played of this generation, probably not as good as the Mass Effect series, but up there with my favorite games. Ending kinda sucked, but so did the ending to Mass Effect 3, what are you going to do.

Anyway, my next options are Uncharted (1,2, or 3), Infamous 1 or 2, Killzone 2 or 3, or God of War (i've got all of them available to me except the newest one). Just wondering what people think. I can also play Bioshock Infinite and XCom Enemy Unknown, but I think I might hold off on those two for now.

So, Uncharted, inFamous, God Of War, or Killzone. What would you choose? I'm leaning a little toward inFamous because it gives me an excuse to buy a PS4 for inFamous: Second Son, but I've always been interested in the God Of War series.........

Well, Uncharted is made by the same people as Last of Us, so if you like that style of gameplay that could be the way to go. Might as well just start at 1 and go for it.

Based on that list of games can I assume you're on playstation plus? Bioshock is a great series.

If you're going to buy a game, I have to strongly, *strongly* recommend Red Dead Redemption. Best single-player story I've ever played.

Like others said, Red Dead Redemption is awesome, especially if you're into westerns... Even if you aren't it's like GTA for the wild west.

Yea Bioshock series is great. I have not played the third game, but we have it sitting around (that's the only game my girlfriend plays)

The Batman/Arkham series is really good too. Good storyline and excellent voice acting. Enough gameplay to keep you busy for a month.

The cool thing for you is that some of the classic ps3 games are heavily discounted, so you can wait to play awesome games like GTA 5 until those go down. I'd start with the cheaper games obviously.

Darksiders and darksiders 2. Yes I'm biased. So what.

Arkham asylum and arkham city are incredible, just play asylum first to get in the backstory etc.

Oh, I've played Red Dead Redemption. Like that a lot more than GTA5 or any GTA game, but still not one of my favorites of the last generation...... But Red Dead Redemption was pretty sick.

And Batman, played 1&2, haven't played the newest but I have it. Bioshock 1 was a favorite of mine, but I hated Bioshock 2. I'm probably gonna wait on Bioshock Infinite.

The thing is that I have an Xbox360 on the tugboat I work on (and I work one month and get a month off). So most cross platform games I've played. Bioshock Infinite I can play on both (and I have DLed via PS+), so I'm gonna play that on the boat probably in like 3 months. I have set up to bring on the boat next time around, Dishonored and Witcher 2. Those, Diablo 3, Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, are sorta the final games I can play on Xbox that interest me for right now.

That's why I'm sorta sticking with Playstation 3 exclusives. Once I finish the 360 games, I'll probably bring my PS3 to the boat, finish the PS3 exclusives I never played and buy a PS4 and join the Next Generation. I just have more faith in Sony Hardware, and their new controller fixes all my issues with the old ones. I actually have a PS4 controller I use for the PS3 games.

So that's why I'm kind of interested in mostly inFamous, Uncharted, Killzone, and God Of War mostly.

But I did like the Batmans, Red Dead Redemption, and Bioshock. Although best games I've played on 360/PS3 so far would probably be Mass Effect Series. Those games were sick. But I love everything Sci-Fi. Then there's a grouping after that of Fallout 3, Last Of Us, Skyrim. Then after that........ Borderlands Series, Bioshock 1, Tomb Raider (loved Tomb Raider. Was better than GTA5 IMO)

I vote Uncharted. I really liked playing their demos though I never bought one of the games. Now that I'm done with GTAV, I may just start looking into that (or breakdown and get NHL14).

You just can't go wrong with any of the God of War series. The latest one was awesome and you get a good amount of fun gameplay outta it! Well worth it, especially if you've played the previous.

I think the Endings "sucked" for different reasons. I think the TLOU ending was bittersweet and felt in-line with the narrative, I actually really liked it. Mass Effect 3's ending sucked, because it didn't make any logical sense, it was inane. Like at the end of Last of Us I accepted the ending and was like Damn.... at the end of Mass Effect I was a deer-in-the-headlights, I was stunned at its stupidity.

Recommendations: Far Cry 3, GTA V, Walking Dead Ep. 1 series, Bioshock Infinite. It really depends on what you want...open world? RPG? 1st person shooter..etc.

Heavy Rain is a good PS3 exclusive. I haven't finished it, but it has an interesting story. The makers recently released their newest game, Beyond: Two Souls (I haven't played it) and it has gotten good reviews from people who liked Heavy Rain. Heavy Rain is a different kind of game, can't really explain it. It's definitely unique in how it tells the story and handles the gameplay, though. Also, Vanquish is a cool one. It's not a PS3 exclusive, but it's a very entertaining game that is largely unknown to most gamers. It's a futuristic third-person shooter with large scale action at hyper speed with awesome weapons. The gameplay graphics are beautiful, too. Another one worth looking at is Dishonored. It's a first-person assassin game with magic stuff thrown in and set in a steam punk environment that is made by the same people who created Skyrim. It's not as much of a RPG as Skyrim, however, it's more action based. There are definitely still RPG elements, though. Finally, Deus Ex: Human Evolution is a phenomenal game. If you saw Elysium, the story revolves around human modding in the future similar to what was in Elysium. It's by far one of my favorite games ever. The story is interesting, the graphics are good (not great), the atmosphere and soundtrack are top-notch, and the action is very satisfying if you choose to go that route. You can theoretically also beat the game by not firing a single shot or attacking anybody. The combat is too fun for that option, though.

I enjoyed Heavy Rain as well. However, it is less of video game and more of a interactive story (like a choose your own adventure book in video game form). It is slightly more inactive than those old point & click games. Well worth playing, but if you need solid gameplay to be entertained I wouldn't suggest it for you.

The Yakuza games are good games too. The ps2 ones are great but you will run into some issues if you try on a ps3 that has backwards compatibility.

3 and 4 are fun games though. Good storyline.

I agree about Mass Effect 3. TLOU is just a bit of a let down. Something you have to accept. And Mass Effect 3, that just seemed like they couldn't come up with a good ending, lol.

Far Cry 3 is def on my list, GTA V I played and beat, Walking Dead Ep. 1 is on my Vita, and Bioshock Infinite is DLed to the PS3, but as I said, might end up playing it on my XBOX360, as I usually bring 2 games with me to the tugboat I work on (work for a month, get a month off). But Far Cry 3 and Bioshock I'll prob play on Xbox. When I get to them all depends on how long Witcher 2 takes me to beat.

I just like great games period I guess. But First Person Open World RPGs are probably my favorite. Although I enjoy 1st person shooters a lot. And I've really enjoyed the past two 3rd person action adventures I recently played (TLOU and Tomb Raider).

I ended up playing inFamous. Game is pretty sick. Wasn't a bad call at all. Reminds me a lot of the Batman games, but I like this more because I don't really care much for comic book worlds. This is original and I like that.I have super powers but don't have a stupid costume or any of that, like Batman does. Although I do have Batman Arkham Origins, which I'll probably play at some point.

I think after I beat inFamous I'll pick up God Of War and do some hack and slashing button mashing. Then I'll see where I go from there. Probably Uncharted, as I'm trying to keep to PS3 exclusives while I'm at home.

I've heard a lot about Heavy Rain, there's just so many games I want to play, that I dunno if I wanna do an interactive story game really. Plenty of games with good stories that have good gameplay with them. I'm still confused about how it works, I was sort of explained that you can progress until you figure things out, and that's how the game goes. I just don't know if that's for me......

I loved TLOU ending. I thought it was great. Can't wait for a sequel.
