Nope, you had it right the first time. You're number 4, because I'm number 3 (click on your profile and you can see your member Id).
Ad Manager is #2, I think, and I believe that #1 is reserved for use by the site - or something like that.

I was surfing the old board and BPG PM'd me and said this was the place to be. I think I signed up within the hour and I only went back once, maybe the next day and that was it.
This is without a doubt the site I frequent on the internet the most.

I was never a member of the old dawgtalkers. I was on the Browns chat forum, got banned, joined this site, got perma banned and found this site as a permanent home. For that I thank Purp. I post a LOT more on another site, but this is always home.

I was one of the originals on the old board and hated the change so when Purp started this one I came on board. Many of these folks have become very special to me over the years and they kept me sane while dealing with pretty much the loss of everything in my life from the love of my life to my family and even career.
I care a lot about the people on here and I look forward to seeing you guys at a game. Might not make it to Cleveland this year but I am gonna find a way to the road game in Cinn. Here's to DT and I am drinking one to you guys.

My story:
I came online when the Couch/Holcombe deadbate was in full swing at The original board.... you know- the one that perpetually looked like this? 
I lurked for almost a year, before uttering a single word.
I chose my entrance well, back then. It was actually in the Smack Shack.... and it was a flamewar between some Stoolz- Lover, and our Browns faithful. The thread was entitled "What Is A Brown?" What followed was a cut/paste of an e-mail post I'd seen many months before. It was a poem that I'm sure many of us have seen, time and again.
Truth: Girls rock deeper stones than bros do.
I decided to rebut that post with my own poem, using the same rhyme-scheme and cadence as the offending slam.
Our friend Jules was the very first to (boldly) step up in support of my post.
From then, it was 'game on.' I'd found My Peeps.
Years later, there was "Hackgate," - that debacle that occurred during an NFL draft, which led to the first shutdown of the official board. In the weeks that followed, I watched the Genesis of this board being played out, post-to-post. There was a contingent of posters who thought that Prp could never "pull it off." Others were ripe to see him try... and vowed that they'd be there, if he could make it happen.
I was still a bit of a Noob... and didn't bother to bookmark the link, when Prp got the thing up and running.
So.... "The Change" takes place. New board, new look- along with an unmistakable drop in the quality of posting. All of a sudden, this place is overrun with a new brand of poster... and the smell won't leave my nostrils.
Finally... I can't take it any more. I only vaguely remembered the thread where Prp committed to re-making the Browns Board, and I had no link.
So... along with the "new, improved look," and the flood of new posters (who had no ties to The Olde Guarde and our established protocols)... I did the only thing I could... I 'reached out' in a PM to a fellow poster who still had a presence at that hellhole that used to be My Home.
(I would never betray the contents of a PM, but I'll give you a subtle hint as to the person to whom I reached out...) He was kind enough to write e back.. and pointed me here.
So... if you hate me with a fire that will not be squelched with the total volume of the Pacific Ocean.... blame him for all your woes.

Seriously, I owe this poster a deep debt of gratitude.He got me back in touch with all the Peeps who made me diehard DT- type fane in the first place.
That's my story... and I'm sticking to it-

I credit Jules for getting me here.
I remember the old board going downhill & thinking the quality of discussion was too. Had no idea people were bailing.
I had never had a PM before & one day I finally saw that I had one that was nearly 2 months old. It was from Jules suggesting I come over here where it was much better.
Thanks again Jules! Can't imagine not being able to hang out here. And now I have the Cheers theme in my head...

LOL Your clues may be too subtle for some.  It's weird though, even though your clues point in that direction, I don't remember a poster named "Frog Dawg".  I have no idea who it could be otherwise ..........

I literally was just thinking about how certain posters I picture sounding a certain way and because all we do all day is reach each other comments... I've come to hear and imagine the way certain posters look and sound. It's almost like reading an interactive book... daily.
The one thing that I miss about the old board and our first year or two here vs the board today is the amount of articles posted has declined. I come here to read 90% of my info on the Browns because I'm loyal. It used to be a contest to see who didn't have to delete their post and some times it would be by seconds. The first one posted stayed up and the everyone else hit delete. We used to link back to the mother ship all the time. We wanted our fellow board members informed. If we need to donate so we can read individual articles in their own posts... I'd contribute again to have this place filled with articles.
It makes a huge difference to get articles from all over the place and talk about them here vs reading on 5 different sites.
