I subscribed to DIRECTV at the beginning of the football season for the NFL Sunday Ticket, so this is my first year with DIRECTV during the Masters. I'm not even a golf fan, but their coverage is great. Six individual channels with in-depth coverage and one channel with the leaderboard that shows all six channels at once, being able to receive updates on any golfer at the bottom of the screen, viewing hole-by-hole flyover previews, viewing golfer statistics at any time, etc. It's awesome.

For other DIRECTV subscribers, have they been doing Masters coverage like this for a while? Or, is this new? Also, is this only for the Masters, or do they do this every week for whichever PGA tournament is going on?

I think just the Masters. They have done it for a few years. There is actually an app too if someone didn't have DirecTV. You can also watch online probably through the Masters or PGA website.

They have individual holes you can keep an eye on or I think just the golfers themselves. It's really really cool.

Golf is an underrated sport to watch. Very little downtime. So much going on that they have to show stuff from a few minutes prior.

It's also definitely my favorite sport to watch in HD. I think it's a great way to judge how good of a TV you have.

The Masters..Augusta...Awesome place, coming from the Red neck side of golf...beer & Beer cart lady, I have to admit after seeing a water hazard & my only thinking is to wonder if there is any bass in there or seeing the wooded area and looking for a tree stand on all the holes I have to admit, this is the one & probebly only golf match I watch, it's a beautiful cource and seeing Arnie Palmer & Jack nickleson along with the current golfers makes me wanna go out and divit a few holes.....renko pocket fisherman in the golf bag of course.

I had hockey all weekend and didn't get to see more than about 20 minutes of the Masters.

Disappointed because it seemed like it was really enjoyable this year.

I think my next favorite is the British, only because I get up early on the weekends, and it's already in full swing.
