I remember we used to have polls over at the browns forum for a few years and then they were taken away. I either don't recall or was never informed of the reason, but I find removing polls has limited a pretty useful/fun tool.
A few polls I can think of right now would be..
Who should we choose at pick 3. Who should be the starter QB: Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, Draft Pick, or a FA Veteran? Who will win an upcoming NCAA tournament game?
Could you tell me why polls were originally removed? Are polls going to make a comeback?

I believe they were removed due to poster abuse. I would like to see Purp or the refs run a poll on certain topics, like the idea you gave on the # 3 pick, just to see how people stand.

We won't be having poster driven polls, though we may entertain the thought of having polls started by the moderators at some point.

I agree, that would be a reasonable compromise to get polls back.
On a side note, I think it might be cool to have a way to tell who voted for which option, so the posts wouldnt have to say such generic "I voted for x, y, z". The long threads of that were pretty useless and didn't have much discussion that wasn't interupted by lists of people just saying who they voted for.
