Not a surprise EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Andy Reid is out after 14 years coaching the Philadelphia Eagles, three people familiar with the decision told The Associated Press following Sunday's 42-7 season-ending loss to the New York Giants. CSNPhilly.com earlier reported that Reid would be out as coach. Reid is scheduled to meet with owner Jeffrey Lurie on Monday to discuss his future and an official announcement will come afterward, according to one person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because a final agreement hasn't been reached. That person says there's a chance Reid might remain with the team in some capacity. Reid is due to make $6 million in 2013 in the final year of his contract. He said he wants to coach next year, but it's possible Lurie could persuade him to take a year off and perhaps help out in the front office in an "advisory" role. Eagles spokesman Derek Boyko denied several reports that Lurie has already fired Reid, saying it's "absolutely, 100 percent" untrue. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8794317/andy-reid-return-philadelphia-eagles-coach-reports-say

If true, does Reid take a year off to recharge? My guess is that he'll have a job if he wants one. Could it be here?

He has said he wants to coach in 2013. It won't be here. 0% chance.

He's a mess...
He just doesn't look healthy to me. Considering what he's gone through off the field as well as on, I think it would be in his best interest to take a year off. Of course, that's just my view from a distance. Maybe he's the type who is better throwing himself into his work when things don't go well.

He had to deal with his son o.d.ing at the facilities in the preseason. Im impressed he was able to comeback and coach at all this year.

There was an article on ESPN today saying that he's been sending out feelers to try and get a staff together if he can find another team to coach next year. I think he'll get offers but will want the ideal situation.
I personally don't see him coming here because I've read enough that I'm guessing we're going with a young, up-and-coming coach.

This one is official.
They're saying he could probably go into any opening he wishes.
I don't agree with that. I sure dont want him here...
