Hey guys,

For those who have Netflix Instant Watch, I highly recommend watching the documentary "Harvard Beats Yale 29-29." It is a fascinating look at a tie football game with commentary from players on both sides.

The game is from the late 1960s and both teams go into the game undefeated.

Things to watch for
1) How many late hits - in today's game, there would be a flag on almost every play
2) The screen pass - didn't know they used it back then
3) Harvard's hand off to the RB who flips it back to the QB play that they run in the 4th quarter almost every freakin' play!
4) The amount of hubris on the part of the Yale players that ultimately caused the tie - and yes, I said hubris

It was just a really fun, easy watch. Anyone else see this gem?

Absolutely one of my favorites!

You didn't even hit on how they presented the game against the backdrop of the 60's, the Vietnam war and the awesome player interviews. I can't remember the names off hand, but I got a laugh how--to this day!--the one guy was SURE he put the hit on the player that caused him to leave the game and they showed how he wasn't even close!

How about all the names . . . . actors . . . judges . . . Doonesbury . . . vice presidents . . . Unreal story.

Great flick and a must watch for any sports fan!!

oh yeah, I forgot to mention that stuff!

It was funny when that guy said he was sure he made the tackle, then they show the instant replay and he is nowhere near the ball. lol.

I also laughed at the big offensive tackle picking up the fumble on 4th down (right?) and running 20 or so yards for the first down.
