The War is a 2007 American seven-part documentary television mini-series about World War II from the perspective of the United States that premiered on September 23, 2007. The program was produced by American filmmakers Ken Burns and Lynn Novick and narrated primarily by Keith David. Airing this week on WVIZ Probably one of the best mini series/documentaries ever produced on the second World War, so I though I would pass it on. btw Tom Hanks did some of the narration too.

Thanks for the heads up though. I might have to set the DVR as I'm awful about remembering to keep up with stuff like this and I do love me some good old war history.

Saw this the first time around and it was extremely well-done (as are all of Ken Burns' movies, IMO).

I'm not sure how the scheduling works nationally with PBS?
