It's kind of like Draft talk, it's neeeever too early to talk Fantasy Football (Unless you play on NFL.com apparently..)

Is anyone setting up any DTer leagues? I only ask, because I was literally about to do such a thing...

Is there a preferred site? (Yahoo, ESPN, NFL)

Draft Style? (I'm an Auction guy, Snake drafts are dumb. Sorry.)

Anything else? Just checking.

I prefer Yahoo and I do both snake and auctions.

Last year I started a Dawgtalkers league and it was pretty much dead.

I'm bored. Joined an ESPN Snake draft that goes down tonight...

They take somewhat more focus. But leave alot up to the luck of where your spot is.

I like Auctions, cause I can go in with a certain plan. Get those people, and then I'm done.

Like last year, I predicted (incorrectly) and huge year from Phillip Rivers and Antonio Gates, so I got them both as the core of my team.

Stuff like that is harder on Snake, unless you overdraft.

I like Yahoo's setup better, but the livedraft function on ESPN is a bit better. I did leagues in both. You can't really go wrong, they both set up nice for the user.

I actually won last year for the first time since I won the first year I played back in '95

Got "stuck" with the 1st pick in a Snake draft the other night. I remember a day not too long ago when the 1st pick in a FF draft basically meant you are going to the Championship...

Team I ended up with.

Name: I Dream Of Mangini

What..?

QB: Tom Brady
Bench: Brandon Weeden

Is he worth the #1 pick? Probably not, he's possibly not even the first QB taken. I just usually draft teams around hunches, and I gots one that says New England is due for another "Screw everyone else" type of Regular season they had in 2007.

RB: Trent Richardson
RB: DeAngelo Williams
Bench: David Wilson

Drafting RBs has become an art form. I seriously expect "Team RB" to become a huge thing in FF in the near future, as it's almost impossible to get great production from one guy anymore. Hence why I drafted Richardson, he's our guy. Plus I think Williams can bounce back from a bad season and be solid.

WR: Julio Jones
WR: Vincent Jackson
Bench: Michael Crabtree (FLEX)
Bench: Santonio Holmes
Bench: Jon Baldwin
Bench: Kendall Wright

I think Jones takes over the #1 spot from Roddy White this year, and has a top 5 year, 1k+, 10+tds, etc. We may have passed on him in real life, but I wasn't going to here. Jackson however is somewhat of a risk. Can Freeman use him as well as Rivers did? Dunno.

TE: Antonio Gates
Bench: Owen Daniels

He burned me last season with injuries when I had both him and Rivers, but he's healthy now, and with Jackson gone Rivers is going to depend on him even more.

FLEX: (currently) Michael Crabtree

This is obviously going to change week to week depending on matchups. But I've got Crabtree in there now, He's primed for a breakout year, if Smith can get him the ball I think he'll be solid.

D/SPT: Seahawks

One of the reasons I thought Peyton Manning would pick Seattle was there solid, young defense, Someone grabbed a D a couple picks before mine, and I hadn't even thought of which one I wanted, PIT, NYJ, GB, were all on the board, and possibly better, but clearly older. I like the youth of this team.

DP: Demarcus Ware
Bench: Patrick Peterson

The idea of playing one Defensive player seemed dumb, especially when we get NO point for tackles (not even a 5 tackles = 1 point kind of deal) on Sacks, and TDs. So I grabbed Ware after Jared Allen was taken, Hoping a sack a game is better than a few TDs in the year... I'm not sure if I get points for Peterson reutnring punts or if the D/SPT is only allowed... Will soon find out.

K: Phil Dawson

Always.

I'm happy how it turned out, had I had a mid round pick, or the last pick, My ideal Brady/Gronk teaming could of happened, but having to wait 23 spots for my second player suuuucked. And I missed Wes Welker by like 3 spots... Twas aggravating...

There are fantasy drafts going on right now?

Didn't know that.

Your team couldn't be more boom or bust. Hopefully for you, it's boom.

Man, I can't wait for football season!

I make my own board and draft BPA.

I might take some risks later on, but I am pretty much a BPA guy through the first 8 or 9 rounds.

I will usually make one or two draft day trades as well, giving up picks to move up.

I try to find a nice balance between quality and quantity.

I will usually fill out my roster from the waiver wire with guys from the Browns that I think have some upside and hope to catch people off guard. No one wants Browns players. LOL ... so I'll probably pick up Weeden after the draft this year.

Almost every year I do a FF Team of all Browns players, That's what I was ganna do for that one, but I ended up with the first pick, So I figured I'd use it...

And I say almost, because there was one year I wasn't able to do it...

And yes, it was 2007...
