Idiots. http://espn.go.com/college-football/stor...weekend-arrestsTwo Ohio State starters suspended Updated: June 5, 2012, 4:25 AM ET COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two expected starters for Urban Meyer's first Ohio State team have been suspended from the team. Ohio State issued a statement Monday saying that Meyer had suspended senior tight end Jake Stoneburner and junior offensive tackle Jack Mewhort after they were arrested by police on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business. The school said it had no further comment. Stoneburner and Mewhort were arrested around 2:30 a.m. Saturday by police in Shawnee Hills, northwest of Columbus, near Muirfield Village Golf Club, where the Memorial Tournament was being held. No details about the misdemeanor counts against the pair were immediately available from police. The village office said the report on the incident would be released Tuesday. On a two-deep chart released after the Buckeyes' spring practice period ended, Stoneburner was listed as the starter at tight end and Mewhort at left tackle. Stoneburner caught 14 passes a year ago, seven for touchdowns. During the spring, Meyer said Stoneburner, a 6-foot-5, 245-pounder whose family lives on the Muirfield course, is one of the top playmakers on a team in dire need of players who can make big plays. "Jake Stoneburner has done a very good job," Meyer said then. "We're moving him around, doing a lot of things with him." He also had high praise for Mewhort, saying he was developing into a team leader up front. "He's probably our best and most consistent lineman," he said midway through the spring. WBNS-TV first reported Stoneburner, Mewhort and a third man not affiliated with the football program were arrested near Muirfield Village. A message was left Monday for a defense attorney.

I'm curious what the charges are. Obstructing official business? For some reason, the first thought that came into my mind was they were drunk and wouldn't let someone do their job at the tourney. But then wouldn't it be drunk and disorderly?
In other words, I have no idea.

From what I have read in the Toledo paper (The Blade), they were urinating outside a bar or restaurant. Cops shined lights, they took off - but stopped about 40 yards away and waited.

So, in other words, they got arrested for doing something I've probably done dozens of times?

Yes - arrested, AND suspended from the team. How long the suspension will be we don't know.
The "tatoo gate" fiasco is making this worse.

Maybe they got in the way of someone else who was trying to pee between the buildings?

Only if it was official business, though.

Something Illegal. Yes.
Just because you or other people do it doesn't make it not Illegal.

I'm not sure what's more shocking that 2 college guys took a leak in an alley or that OSU has players that actually go watch golf tournaments.

If that was the case, I'd be in prison until I was 65.

It's not their fault.
They were outside John's Radiator Service, where a sign hung said, "A great place to take a leak".

Wow. And he is a officer of the court. Or maybe he just meant he pee's in public on a regular basis.....OK....I have pee'd in a public place a time or two, or two hundred. Way too much hang up over that. Unless you are doing it at the kiddie pool or trying to be seen, a back alley or some tree in the woods and somebody happens up on you, no big deal IMO. Sooner or later you are going to catch someone in the act, we all have, and it is a normal human condition. When you got to go, you got to go. Unless you have led a very insulated life, you have seen people of both sexes take a leak and know what the parts look like. Just move on and let it go.

Not to defend them, but Shawnee Hills police force is kind of a joke. The whole town is nothing but a big speed trap.

That doesn't matter. They are trying to keep their town good.
Just look around....there is a lot of" un-good" in this world.

With the number of businesses that have a "must make purchase" policy for using the restrooms, it doesn't surprise me at all that I see this more and more.
Saw a guy Sunday taking a leak in the bushes in front of the bank on US41 (major road), plain as day if you looked to the right and saw him standing there, he was facing the street watching the traffic go by as he relieved himself.
I remember as a kid pulling over in I-90 many times, opening both passenger doors and standing there taking a leak on the shoulder of the road on the way to Catawba.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

I know when I used to drink a LOT of beer, peeing WAS official business!
So I would officialy saying that having to pee is official business.
Now if they accidently peed on someone else while they were trying to pee, I could see how that might be considered obstructing official business.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.
