At work I try to stay organized, including keeping a fairly clean and neat desk. People always look at my desk and say something to the effect of "you must not be very busy with a desk that clean.". I just ask them if, at home, they use their stovetop to store food. Or else I swear at them.

ahahahaha

I'm actually the same way, I was always the kid who had a clean room. My theory was that I never had to spend 3 hours cleaning a dirty room if I spent a few minutes every day just keeping it up. Time management, man.

I hate the expression "My second favorite team"... You have a favorite team then other teams you root for either because it benefits your favorite team or because you are rooting against a team that you can't stand like the Heat or the Steelers and those are based purely on the situation at the moment and have little to nothing to do with the team you are rooting for.

Might as well hit 2 "hates" in one post ......

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

How about different favorite teams for different sports?
I've met people that don't consider you a "real" Browns fan for instance, if football isn't your favorite sport and you root harder for say, the Tribe or the Reds than you do for the Browns.

Actually I mean "too much time on my hands" and "responding to every post" ........ but big hair and vests works too.

Actually, now that I think about it ....... I got my first sweater vest in probably 30 years from work right before my back went to hell.

That's it ... I hate sweater vests too!

Oh you can have a favorite team for every sport out there plus you can have a favorite golfer, NASCAR driver, swimmer, tennis player, Indy car driver, jockey, and short track speed skater for all I care... you just can't have a second favorite.

Since I'm a Cleveland fan, I always have to adopt someone in the playoffs, although recently I haven't been doing that.

My approach to sports has been like my approach to college basketball has been since I was a kid. I watch for the tournament as a whole, I root for Ohio teams to do well, but I'm not as into them as I am the Browns.

Since Lebron took off, I have watched the NBA just rooting for good series' (looks like I'm gonna get my wish with both conference finals)

A few years back, I rooted for the Chargers in the playoffs, because I wanted to see Marty get another chance at a Super Bowl.

I'm a sucker for an underdog story though.

I defintely don't claim teams as a second favorite though. Other than some MLB hats that I like for the look, the only gear I own is Browns, Cavs, Indians, and Ohio State.

See that's kind of how I am with golf, I don't have a favorite, I just root for a competitive tournament and it's good to have some names I recognize in it at the end.. I just like a good finish.. eventually I usually end up rooting for somebody but it could be somebody different every week.

So... if I say "The Browns are my favorite team but I also like the Packers," I'm OK. Right? I didn't call them "my second favorite team.

Let me put it this way.. if I asked you this question, "The Browns and Packers are in the super bowl, who are you rooting for?" If you have to pause for a millisecond to think of your answer, then no, you are not alright.

Any reality TV show, especially the Kardashians and the Duggers. Shows that include hosts such as Jerry Springer, Steve Wilcos and Maury Povich. No explanation needs to be given.

The Democratic party. And that includes the person currently pretending to run the country. And don't even get me started about the "first lady." Calling her that is a bit of a stretch.

Terroists. For obvious reasons.

Steelers and their fan base. I will never call a Steeler fan in my lifetime a friend.

Those stupid Best Buy commercials this last Christmas where the moms were trying to one-up Santa Clause.

Also really hate when ppl have different teams in different states/cities. Example, someone who is a Pittsburgh Steeler, Penguins, LA Lakers, and NY Yankees fan. That's total garbage imo.

Some of us didn't grow up near a major city. I grew up in the corn and bean fields of NW Ohio. Cleveland, Detroit, Columbus, Indianapolis all 2 hours away. I was free to choose for myself. My father took me to Tiger's games all the time as a kid in the early and mid 80's. I'm a lifelong Tigers fan now. No other sports were watched in my household. My friend and his dad were big Browns fans. I started watching football with them. I'm a lifelong Browns fan. As I started enjoying college ball I was drawn to the Buckeyes. Lifelong fan now. I started watching hockey on a black and white tv picking up fuzzy feeds from Canada as a kid. Then a school buddy with cable tv showed me this young guy, Mario Lemieux. I was amazed at his skills. What little hockey I was able to intentionally watch I rooted for him. Especially when he and Jagr were killing it. Couldn't help but love to watch them dominate. Been a fan ever since.
As you see I hold no allegiance to any one city. But once I chose a team I've never strayed. Do you still hate me?

I need to move to the west coast for this reason. How awesome it must be for NFL games to start at 1030. Watch the game then go on with your day.

It is awesome. I wake up to football. Then have my entire afternoon to do what I choose.

Things I hate...
The Steelers
The Ravens
The Bungles
The Cowboys being called "America's Team". Makes my skin crawl!!
John Elway
Bad drivers
U2
Rush
Pop country music
Justin Bebier and all such ilk
'celebrities' that are only famous for being famous but actually produce nothing of any relevance or value (Paris Hilton, Kardashians, etc)
People that over breed
Squabbling politics over democrat or republican as if there are actual differences
Coorporate greed
Watching this country fall apart at the seems

Baltiwhore.

Don't get me wrong, but I hated that rat infested f-ing city before fArt modell moved his team there. I hated everything from the 'Syphilis Testing' billboard on the way in, to the 'Don't know who the father is, DNA testing' billboard on the way out. I hated standing on the damn doc for the aquarium. I hated the crabs they served at Phillip's, and that I couldn't find anything in that stupid mall but Phillip's. I found the Torpedo Factory hatefully boring.

To top things off, they took the name of 'Ravens' for their team, because of Edgar Allan Poe. Most people there don't even know that all Poe did of any significance in baltiwhore was marry his cousin and die of rabies from the rats.

I hate when I see a preview for a new movie or TV show, and they add a tagline of some Producer/Writer who wrote something else that was popular..

HEY! Did you like LOST!?!? Well that automatically means you will enjoy this show, because JJ Abrams stopped by one day at the studio and said hello while we were filming!

I also hate Hollywood's need to bring back old shows because they can't come up with anything new...

Just because it's called 90210, Dallas, or LA Law, doesn't mean it'll be as good...

While there is nothing like the classics, I'm not going to listen to 20 years worth of music, made 40 years ago, for the next 30+ years of my life. There's some great music being made. Some that as a country rock fan I think you'd really enjoy. Yes it's not the Allmans, or Hatchet but given a listen with an open mind is damn good. Widespread Panic, Government Mule, Drive By Truckers, Blackberry Smoke all fit that driving southern thing. Don't miss out. Hatchet will always be there for you. They won't get upset if you listen to the next wave of what they started.
Here's a taste of a 'new' act doing a Skynyrd cover. Didn't want to get you too far off your path.

I know it's one of the things I do when my boss and I are pondering bringing on board a new product demonstrator. We head to Facebook and Linkedin to check them out. I will say, I do not use what I find on either site to completely disqualify a candidate, but it will influence how I conduct my interviews.
