D-Day Veteran Dies Following Attack That Killed His WifeAn Oklahoma man suspected in a brutal home invasion -- already facing a murder charge for allegedly killing an elderly woman -- could face additional charges after the death last week of her husband, a D-Day veteran. Bob Strait, a 90-year-old Tulsa resident, died on Friday, and a medical examiner is determining his cause of death, News On 6 reports. He was injured March 13 when, police say, Tyrone Woodfork, 20, entered the house and attacked, allegedly beating and sexually assaulted Strait's 85-year-old wife, Nancy Strait, who died two days later. The couple had been married for 65 years. Woodfork was arrested a day after the incident when he was spotted driving around in Strait’s vehicle, a Tulsa Police Department spokesman told FoxNews.com. Woodfork was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on March 15 and is being held on charges of first degree murder, first degree burglary, armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon. i hope that when he goes to jail, the other inmates get word he killed a vet. this guy doesnt have much longer on this earth.

It's one thing to break in and rob an elderly couple, and I can understand a suspect beating them if they struggle or resist, but at what point does sexual assault of an 85 year old woman ever come to mind?
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

The problem is that there are whole groups of people that have no respect for anything. They feel entitled to anything they can take, regardless of who or what they destroy/hurt in the process.

How can anything have value when it is all given to you? This truly is the culture we are working to create right now.
Back to this piece of utter garbage .... if he is found guilty, he should suffer a slow death.Unfortunately, we are too "civilized" for that kind of behavior.
All I know is this ..... if it was my mother and father, or grandparents who he attacked, he wouldn't make it to trial.

I understand the emotion.. but in the end, I wouldn't disrespect the memory of my parents/grandparents by spending the rest of MY life in jail just to bury this piece of trash.

This is the most sick and brutal thing that's happened around here in a long time. This is just disgusting. I'm surprised it's taken so long to go national to be honest. Their daughter believes from what she saw at the home, and in her interview didn't want to offer up what that was as it may hamper the investigation, but she believes there were as many as five people involved and it was a gang initiation.
They are doing an autopsy on her father to see if he died from his injuries which can also be used against whomever they arrest or a common theme around town is he simply died of a broken heart. The daughter is saying they are just waiting on the DNA to come back to verify more individuals but the police know who they think were involved.

RIP to both the Straits. Take that POS out back and put a bullet in him. What he did to that poor woman deserves no leniency or compassion. To live a long life like that and to have this happen to you in the end.....the cruelty of people just baffles me. Quote:

On second thought I would make Tyrone Woodfork watch Band of Brothers and let him know the guy he killed was doing that at age 20. Then I'd load the round and pull the trigger.

It really hasn't gone "national". Fox picked up a story from one of its local affiliates. A quick search of "Bob Strait" on MSNBC and CNN comes up empty. CNN was apparently busy covering the tragic story of the 39 pound cat that died.
