My mom has been in really bad shape over the last 3 or 4 weeks. They say it is the scar tissue on her brain from the 25 radiation traeatments. Anyway she has had trouble with walking and talking and all that stuff. It is a challenge when it flares up.

Today she wakes up and she is almost back to her old self, walking and talking and everything was real fluid. She wants to go to the fleamarket so I help her get dressed and we head over. It's been almost a yer since she was able to go.

We have a good morning at walking around and looking at stuff bought a couple of things but when we get done I ask her if she wanted to go home or go out to eat. Usually she wants to just go home cause she is worn out so bad when we go anywhere but today she wanted to eat out and picked the Golden Corral.

I fixed her a plate and we sit down to eat and from the table behind us, I hear a woman screaming, "somebody help!! She is choking to death". I turned around saw a girl pointing to her throat. She was blue and couldnt breath at all.

I jumped up did the Heilich on her and dislodged a huge chuck of meat.

Anyway, just thought it was weird how everything had worked out today. I mean mom had been almost bedfast for the last month. Makes you think on whether it was just a series of random events or was kinda meant to be thing.

Unreal. Just shows people aren't thankful for anything. I'm betting they were back texting on their cellphones seconds after it happened.

Good to hear your mom was feeling better today.

mourg...you saved a woman's life...

...and your mom, who had not been well..it sounds like she has turned a corner and the two of you had memorable morning together...

...and you and your mother just happened to pick the right place to eat at...at the right time...putting you in a position to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity...the opportunity to save someone's life...and you did just that.

What a moment it must have been for you and your mother...she got to witness her son save another person's life...

Talk about being at the right place at the right time...do you believe in destiny?

I hope your mother continues to improve...

I believe that God puts us where we need to be sometimes ...... and he put you where you needed to be today. (and even helped your mother have a nice day at the same time)

What could possibly be better than that?

Wow, Mourg. Glad that you and your mother got an overdue bright spot. Nice to hear you were able to answer the call when it happened and weren't left wishing you'd have stepped in sooner.

LOL I saw that on Yahoo ........

The guy goes to Childrens Hospitals to visit sick kids.

I'm glad that he was let go with just a warning.
