I find that the way peers on this forum moderate is too confrontory sometimes. I haven't had an issue with it, but it is annoying to read a post that is in the wrong forum and have to sift through the 1-5 posts about how it is in the wrong forum.
If there was an option for a post in which the readers could vote on what forum to post it, that might be a more conveniant system. The referees wouldn't have to move the posts, after 4 votes the page is automatically moved and a private message is sent to the user explaining why/where the post got moved, and maybe al ink to the rules of the pound..
I just think it might unclutter the server a bit more efficiently while reducing the need to directly confront people who don't know the rules.

The rules are pretty simple, if one bothers to actually read them. <img src="/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
Pure Football is about the game, strategy, and personnel moves relating to the game of professional NFL football. It's not about video game senarios, announcers, fan activities, or anything outside of the actual game and strategy of football.
The Gameday forum is for this weeks games, and events occuring in those games.
Tailgate is for general discussions, college sports, other non NFL sports, life issues, current events, jokes, politics, "Hi, how are you" or "where are they now" type stuff.
It's all pretty clearly spelled out in the forum descriptions, and in the Rules section, It really isn't too much, IMHO, to ask people to read and follow simple rules. Is it?
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

I understand your thought process on this one. Everyone feels the need to pile on you, on this board. It is just something you have to deal with. I can totally see how outsiders would not like it, as other boards are much more freindly and courteous. JMO

I think it might just make the boards even less organized. Mods know rules of board better than anyone so they are automatically chose a thread's destination better than the peanut gallary.

We will be handling this the same way they did on the old board. The forum descriptions are quite clear and people who are confused will learn by trial and error. The long time posters understand the rules very well and we will still rely on them to guide other posters in the right direction.
The moderators will make the decision on whether something needs deleted or moved.
