I realize I don't post much anymore, but for those of you interested...
For the last year I've been traveling a lot for work, mostly in the states but some overseas. I'm managed to get a promotion and am taking a position in Germany for 3 years. I leave in a month and am very excited/nervous/anxious about everything that will come with it. My wife and two boys will be joining me in June after school ends. This is a tremendous opportunity for me not only from a work standpoint, but also for my family as well.
Which leads me to some other news... my wife and I are expecting our 3rd child in September. We didn't find out what we were having with the first two, however this time we will so we don't possibly drag some stuff with us across the pond for no reason. We're going on the 18th to find out what we're having. I'm hoping for another boy, my wife is torn between if she wants a boy or girl.
Anyway, these next few football seasons will be interesting, catching games at 7pm and 10pm for the normal sunday kick off times. I'll be sleeping for the night games so I'll have to avoid the tempation to read the news and catch it on the dvr. My plan is to slingbox the games over to me, so as long as the game is on in the Columbus market I should be OK.

Congratulations.
I don't know how I would feel about moving to a foreign country. It sounds fun and terrifying all wrapped up into one. lol

My in-laws are going to rent it off of me while I'm gone, however, if I need some handyman work done I might hit you up if you're interested? My dad is going to come down and do some of the remodeling I want done in exchange for me paying for him and my mom to come out and see us.

I know several people that have done this deal and every single one of them loved it and would recommend it for anyone. It is fun and terrifying wrapped up into one though!

No problem I can do that

Best of luck, kiddy congrats, and stay in touch. This is tough for me to imagine doing, but "opportunity implies responsibility; responsibility implies opportunity." Hope it's all good for you and the family.

Thanks Bard.
Well the verdict is in, we are having a GIRL! Can't get it right all the time (our other two are boys). I'm looking forward to it... have a feeling she'll be a daddy's girl. My wife is really excited, she's out shopping for girl stuff already...
And I officially leave for Germany April 8th. Lots of change coming this way.

Congratulations. I suspect that you'll be pulling your hair out about 13-14 years from now when she starts discovering boys in a big way ....... Good luck with your big move. Hope everything goes smoothly.

Yep! I missed this thread earlier. I'm doing a fair amount of traveling myself and often miss posts on the board. First, congratulations on the baby news! Next, I know a couple people who have spent some time working in Germany and they absolutely loved it. I'm sure you are going to do very well and enjoy it also. I'm so happy for you, you know I've always been crazy about you! Congratulations again, and let me know how things are going!

Congrats! I'm sure you'll love it - it will be a great experience going abroad for work. My ex-father-in-law lived in Australia for several years as an ex-Pat and the experience was fantastic according to him.
