Need some help..my jobs securty settings list this website as a games sites and will not allow me access..any ideas how I can override the settings?

Try logging in through a proxy, like this one: http://anonymouse.orgThere are many others on the web if you don't like this one but if it works for you, you can go hunt those later.

I'd be nice to know what triggers it, but my guess is probably that it is the link to the Arcade and the Flash games that does it.
Other than the proxy, I don't know of a good workaround.

Most places if you get caught using stuff circumvent your IT departments safe guards could result in you being fired.

Interesting..other sites have those same things..Realcavs.com ..but I'm not blocked from there..don't worry fellas,I'm not gonna do something to get myself canned.

Maybe you could approach the IT guys and tell them you like to check out this site during your lunch break but can't and then ask them if they can allow this site.
But then they'll probably monitor your visits and find that you rarely do any work because you're always on DawgTalkers.
So maybe that's not a good idea after all.
Your best bet at this point is to quit that dang job and sign up for welfare so you can login here all day long from home.

I would ask the IT people what kinds of sites are forbidden, and how they decide. If it seems that this one, being an informational site, should not be blocked, you could ask them if it could be unblocked so that you could get your football fix during your lunch break. If they do, thank them profusely. Many IT people like that kind of stuff.  Then ...... stick to just your lunch break, at least for a month or so. By then they will have forgotten about it.
