My son has been playing soccer for the past couple of years. He started junior high this year and decided to return to football. He ended up as the quarterback for the 7th grade team. These are his season highlights.
He is blessed that one of the WRs is 6'2" and a very good AAU basketball player. There are several good athletes on the team.
I know football stuff is slow this time of year. Hope this can entertain you for a couple of minutes.
Wow!!! Keep him in football! Good arm. Good accuracy. Color me impressed! Receivers did a good job as well, and so did the line over all. I know it's a "highlight" film - but the team looked pretty good.
Quote: One read QB Doesn't throw his receivers open Puts too much air on his throws Will need at least 8 years to prepare for the NFL combine.
He is spending his offseason working with a renowned QB guru. He realizes that there are only 10 or 11 years left until the combine.
@archbolddawg: The team was a combined (2009-2010) 0-20 coming into this season. In the 2009 season, they were outscored 160-14 en route to 0-10. My son did not play on either of those teams. Thankfully, he was playing soccer at that time. Those kids were emotionally pretty low.
The junior high coaches are fantastic. The coaches transformed that group of kids into a team that finished the 2011 season 5-2.
