Merry Christmas everyone.

May you and yours all have a safe and happy holiday, and may the spirit of the season be upon you all.

We have a friend of the family who's a pretty big guy. He makes a very convincing Santa Claus in his costume.

Our family's gathering is tomorrow afternoon. My parents, my sisters and their husbands, and the 8 grandchildren will be there (the oldest is 8).

The guy's coming over tomorrow early afternoon in his Santa gear and will pretend he's really tired from being out all night, but he wanted to check to make sure the kids liked the toys.

My mom had emailed him a few of the gifts that the kids got so he can ask the about it.

I have a feeling a few of the kids will be totally shocked, a few will cry because, well, they cry at just about everything, and my son will want to play with a box.

lol. He's not quite 28 months yet, so he doesn't quite get into Christmas just yet.

We opened our gifts this morning, and his favorite one was a tree that came with his new train table.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Had a great Christmas Eve, and looking forward to Christmas morning.

Just waiting for my little peanut to fall asleep so Santa can deliver the package(s)!

Merry Christmas my friends.

I am down in Fla. with nice temps, but I somehow wouldn't mind a white Christmas.

Have a great day everybody!

No White Christmas up north this year. (In Ohio anyway)

I'm not sure that I mind green though. You don't have to shovel green ...... lol

Man, I thought this was going to be a rough winter. So far it's been positively mild. We've had less than an inch of snow so far ....... and it's already Christmas. (knock on wood)

+1

So what kind of gifts did you guys give/get that stick out?

For me, among other things, I received some great books, a Browns tie, some Browns swim trunks, a Browns ornament (my wife gives me a new one every year), and, as always, some Lego.

Giving-wise, we donated to my cousin's memorial scholarship fund on behalf of my sisters, their husbands, and my parents.

I got some Smartwool socks and thermal tights for skiing. A fleece zip up hoodie. Some nice pens and paper for my drawings. Other odds and ends. All the cash I collected will afford my girlfriend and I a rental cabin for a weekend on the coast later this winter.
Then I spent my work holiday bonus and upgraded my home theater speaker system. Polk Audio TSi300 fronts, CS100 center, OWM3 rears. Wow! What an amazing difference! Next year I'll upgrade the subwoofer.

I gave a lot of jerseys for some odd reason.

Wife - Blackhawks jersey in red
Bro-in-law - Bears Peppers jersey in white
Niece - Ravens J/Lewis jersey in purple (it hurt buying it, but she likes purple and this will be her first year playing our New Years football game)
Cousin-in-law - Bears Urlacher jersey in white

The wife got me new snowboarding boots, classic Vans shoes and a French cookbook (which she got for free at work). My nephew bought me a red Blackhawks jersey and I also got a new toaster/convection oven that is quite awesome.

All of that was nothing compared to watching my daughter run to the tree today and ripping open her presents from Santa.

I got a very very nice bottle of single malt scotch and five of my favorite cigars from my gal.

How's that for a wife!

My 8 month old daughter stiffed me. I better get used to it.
