I know in the past Bleacher Report articles have always been prohibited, but I'm wondering if there is room for change here. Bleacher Report now employs "featured columnists" (one of which is me), so all of their articles are no longer written by any person.
What I'm really wondering here is if, like blogs, there is some leeway here. Say allowing articles from featured columnists, but not from "contributors". The main reason I ask this is that I would like to post some of my articles, but copying and pasting them to here would be a royal pain.

What are the qualifications to be a "featured columnist"? Just wondering if anyone can become one.... Also, the description when googled is: Bleecher Report: Open source sports network that caters to citizen journalism. Citizen journalism. Much like a blog. But, good luck getting it approved.

Featured Columnists are hired, just like at any other website. Many of these guys are professional writers and just do this on the side. I'd argue that these people are more journalists than someone like Scott Wright at draftcountdown.com. I mean, in world where anyone can start a website, where do we draw the line? If I owned a site, I'm sure I would be able to post articles from there.

So, these citizen journalists are paid? Cool.
And, just because someone owns a website doesn't mean it's okay to post from it. I own a website, but I can't post from it...it would be site pimping and advertising.

So what is it about draftcountdown.com that makes it okay to post from? Scott Wright doesn't have a journalism degree. Matt Miller owns newerascouting and is a writer at Bleacher Report. He often has the same content on both sites, but one is allowable, yet the other isn't. That doesn't make sense to me.

I would note that the line for the everything else, tailgate and eventual draft forum links is less stringent than the line for pure football and gameday forums (and I agree with that philosophy).
I think allowing featured columnists from BR for draft discussion would be a good thing.

No, it would take much longer because of the site's format. It's not a simple copy and paste.

I don't think that was a shot at you.
Is he wrong that you really need NO qualifications for Bleacher Report?
I think the point he is trying to make is that you can't allow a site, regardless if it's from featured writers, because what makes them a "featured writer"?

Actually, how could that be considered "uninformed" when it was posed as a question? Even so, I wasn't that far off. A senior is still a high school student.

Sorry, it's still a fan site. Whether they pay a handful of writers here or there, doesn't make it any less of a fan site.

We talked about this issue, too, and we came to the same conclusion. Bleacher Report is not going to be allowed.
