Here is a good little motivational essay for anyone interested. Quick, easy read. Takes about 5 minutes. I think it can help a lot of people out, especially our younger generation.

I thought this would have received more commentary. I find it fascinating how so many in our society long for the good old days when everybody pulled their own weight, young people didn't question authority and men were men...

Well here is a guy in 1899 complaining about young people questioning what they asked to do at work, people taking more out of society than they are contributing, people too lazy to work, etc..

I sent it to one of my sons teachers who teaches high school history and psychology.. thanks for sharing.

It was a piece of mandatory reading our LTC gave us and he all had a big discussion about it this morning. I'm going to send it to the rest of the cadets in our ROTC program and make it a mandatory reading for them too.

First time I've read that although the part in the beginning about respecting your employer who puts food on your table I've seen before. More folks need to read this and re-read it until they get it. In my experience when I've worked for others, in most instances the majority of employees were typically looking to "get over" in some way along with constant complaining about management. It's kind of a "world owes you a living" thing.

This should be mandatory reading in high school with a discussion afterward.
