A lot of them had run to the exit at the end of the 7th too.

And you have to figure, 25-30% of the 29k were probably no-shows. Awful.

I just hope ONE good thing can come from this collapse.

Can we PLEASE, PLEASE give up on this Paplebon experiment?

Can Sox fans PLEASE stop thinking of this guy as a top Closer in the league?

He's not!

I've seen the guy blow sooo many big games, and I'm sick of it.

He's scheduled to become a Free Agent. LET HIM WALK!

God, I don't want to see him ever throw another pitch in a Red Sox uniform.

Turn the Closer role over to Bard. I know Bard has struggled as of late, but he's young, and wearing down towards the end of the year. He'll be okay.

If I could make ONE move for the Sox, it'd be to let this guy go

Ok, so Bryan is the one fan that's been there that is an actual fan, the rest are a bunch of bandwagon jumping Steeler fans.

Same goes with when the Yankees come to town.

Seriously, Steeler fans who were born and raised in NE Ohio make me sick.

Couldn't get on last night... But wow, last night was so awesome. Was kind of hoping for a one-game playoff between the Red Sox and Rays. Tickets down here sure are cheap.

I want the Cleveland Browns to be my pallbearers so they can let me down for the last time.

Nothing like a little generalizing to help make your point, whatever it may be.

just saw the replay of the winning score, I think Crawford had a great shot at the ball had he not had all those gold coins in his pocket.

Nice to see you post, iambrown.

Anyhoo, congrats to the winners and consolations to those whose team lost out. I am more familiar with how the the latter group is feeling, being an Indians fan, lol. There's always next year, right?

To come back to the thread subject for a moment, I am pretty disappointed in the Indians' performance in the last 4 games. They were sitting at 80-78, and after sleepwalking through the last 4, finished at 80-82. It was a sorry showing; the players looked like they would have preferred to be almost anywhere else than Detroit. Can't say I blame them for that, but there was the little matter of finishing at, or above, .500 and the chance at finishing second in the division. It would have been a small moral victory in my mind, but apparently too much to ask. So, even though I think I predicted 75 wins and said 81 would be a good year at the start of the season, the ending of the season left a sour taste for me.

The Indians have until the end of the World Series to decide if they are picking up options on Sizemore and Carmona. Even though I'm quite sure they will both go on to All-Star years elsewhere (because God apparently believes we in Cleveland lack an understanding and appreciation for irony), I think we should let both go. We could better use that 15 million on help in LF or the starting rotation. Having said that, I think they'll keep both. They will say that "if healthy, Sizemore is the best player on the team." to which I say: He hasn't been healthy for 3 years. About Carmona, they will say "He eats innings.", to which I would add "and he craps earned runs". Carmona never fails to fail ... let him go.

Enjoy the playoffs.

Who would you like to see the new manager be, iam?

I'd like Dave Martinez.
