I wouldn't say it's right but I do think there's a difference. Riley was talking about how tough Wade is to come back from his injury. Winslow was basically going on a crazy obscenity laced tirade. He said he was going to go after the knees of opposing players because they were gunning for him. Riley was just calling Wade a soldier because he's resilient. Either way, it's too much political correctness for me. Winslow didn't really offend me as much as annoyed me with his comments.

I think this whole soldier controversy, if there is one, is little more than America run amok again by political correctness. Riley did nothing wrong imo. Winslow was acting like an idiot and taken in the context of what he said, he was wrong. I can't tell you how many times I and my friends have used the term warrior essentially in the same context as Riley used soldier. It's a compliment to the person's toughness to fight through adversity, not a comment on the troops. Quote:

ok so I AM evil and immature.. but for completely different reasons..  And I agree with you. Being a real soldier in real war is a very noble thing, but let's not raise the term beyond what it is to the point where even a positive reference has to be condemned...

HAHAH it's funny you fail to see the irony behind his comments.....DPD is right....it's the SAME thing.....sure someone else is calling him that...
One cannot brag about themselves....calling yourself a soilder is not bragging about urself....i saw nothing wrong with KW2s comments...nor do i see riley...because they r the same...but if you must ridicule kw2 then u should call riely immature too....no need to have double standards

I have heard people say "be a trooper....." or "he was a trooper for taking one for the team." Is there a difference between "soldier" and "trooper"??? Now I would have to say there is is a difference between "soldier" and "soulja" and I believe KW used the latter of the two. But hey...that's my opinion.
