I'm partial to McCoy, but only because I have a total mancrush on him.
I'd probably go with Charles.
*Disclaimer* I am the WORST fantasy football owner in the history of fantasy football.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

I love Rice this year.
word of caution: i did last year. heard the same things that are being said about him now. at the end of the day, the rushing TDs went to McGahee and killed his topend value (Ricky Williams likely to get those this year IMO)
i'd take CJ or Charles definitely before I took Rice (he's still a top10 guy, just not a top4 guy)

I agree. Rice is not top 4. I dont see CJ being there either. Unless someone overdrafts a QB which is possible. Take CJ if he is there if not gotta be charles.
I had a draft last weekend and AP dropped to the 4th spot cause someone took Rogers #1 overall. Then foster and CJ went next so anything could happen.

People have been overdrafting Rodgers and Vick in the top 10.

Oh I agree. I never draft a QB in the first round.

I didn't see these suggestions before my draft last night. I took Rice at #4....thought for a minute that Foster was going to drop but he was taken at #3. I took Rice over C.J. and Charles. Just went with my gut. Thanks guys!

I normally don't draft a QB in the first 2 rounds but I drafted Aaron Rodgers in the first round last year and won a title, I'm leaning towards doing it again. I was always in the corner of take 2 RB's in the first 2 rounds then WR then QB.
As for the 4th pick I would lean towards Ray Rice because of McGahee leaving and Vonta Leach coming in as the new FB. I had Jamal Charles last year and Thomas Jones really killed Charles stats.
My $.02

I don't.
I wouldn't take Rice in the first round even.
At 4, are you assuming that Peterson and Foster are both gone?
Foster fell to 4 in a league I drafted the other day.
If he does, you HAVE to go Foster.

just wanted to point out that the 2010 Charles owner says to avoid Charles and the 2010 Rice owner says to avoid Rice
really, after AP, Foster, and CJ (if he gets into camp) there are just a ton of question marks at RB. The #4 through #15 RB could be interchanged without too much debate. Very strange year in that regard.

I had AP with the first pick last year, and he wasnt all that great to be honest. I ended up getting Hillis on the waivers who scored nearly as many points. I would have gotten alot more points from my first pick if I had taken Rogers.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

I probably do the same thing. My view point is pretty much the same as Frenchy's.
No logo has a good point about Ricky getting the goal line work, but Charles didn't even lead his team in carries last year.
In the end both guys score a ton of points. I just think Rice has the better chance of eaquilling what the guys taken ahead of him will do.

I was really high on Rice last yr and wanted him in my money league. When we drew for draft spots I got the 9th pick and thought there was no way I would get him but he dropped to me and I got him and turner. For where I drafted him he did just fine but if I would have drafted him top 5 I might have been a little mad. Got him and turner again this yr in the same league drafting 7th in a 12 team league. With leach blocking for him he should do great but ricky will steal some tds just like willis did.
