This is great news. You hear people saying "he'll be their LT for the next 10 years" and wonder if it can really happen. He's a great player just coming into his prime. Great job, H & H.

JT doesn't come across as a "I need to be paid the most ever and I want the world to see how good I am" kinda guy. He and his agent asked for a fair deal for a Pro Bowl LT with a good amount of guaranteed money...and then signed.

Truly a guy this city and franchise should be proud to have.

Thomas signs a huge deal, so does Larry Fitzgerald.

Imagine what Chris Johnson in Tennessee is going to be asking for!!!!

That is GREAT news!!!!! Joe Thomas was such a great draft choice back in 07'.....Just think, if Savage had the draft go HIS way, we would have drafted JaMarcus Russell. Oh what would have been....

This is great news. My biggest fear with Thomas was that he might not want to stay here when his contract was up.

He's already on record in saying he wants to be one of, if not the highest paid players in the league....not just the highest paid RB. Tenn isn't ready to go that far. With all that being said, nothing is really worth talking about until week 1. It's fine for him to be out all preseason.

I back CJ in his attempt to get paid. As a RB in the NFL your window to set yourself for life it very, very small. He's one tweaked knee away from out of football. Now.....not highest paid player in the league high, but I'm on his side.

Great to hear him get that extension. As that should be great news for the Browns. Which it is!

Joe Thomas HOF Class of 2027, Cleveland Browns

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

WTH is the front office thinking. This guy is the reason all our QBs were in walking casts last year. I cant believe the fornt office spent that much money on a bean stock like him....... wait.... I'm not Joe.....

Can I get a current player's jersey now.

Made my Millenium!!!

Way to go, Joe and the FO!

Also some indication that a good football player sees some good things about to happen in Cleveland. Not sure he'd of stayed if he saw more losing on the horizon.

Unless they flat out told him he would never be able to leave anyways because of the Franchise Tag.

Good point. he probably also sees the team not neglecting the OL, with Mack, then Lauvao and most recently Pinkston. That unit should be a strong one for years to come.

Perhaps...I don't know the rule, you may very well be right.

Either way, I'm glad this isn't an issue anymore. He's a Brown for life.

Excellent news.

I would guess that we used up a lot of our cap room on this by front loading some of it.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
