I actually asked for that bike back in 1981 for Christmas, but alas the parents didn't have the money for it. I had a friend that had it though. Early BMX, pretty clunky compared to bikes a couple years later.

I understand. I also understand that at times to get what you really want you just have to do it and deal with it later on.
In many cases, seeking forgiveness is easier then seeking permission.
Plus....if what you say is true about her killing you, I'd be dead 500 X over as mine is the same way.
Just be prepared for her to reciprocate and go out and really blow some money on something totally stupid and useless.

Both my cousins had that bike.
Between the bike, the jerseys and the winter jackets, shoes and t-shirts, we were always decked out in Browns gear.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
