I really dig this type stuff. I came across this video on HuffPo and it is a fascinating high definition video taken in Spain.
I like to try to step back from time to time and appreciate this great world around us and if you're like me this video is awesome. It reminds me of how remarkably beautiful this planet is and the shots of the Milky Way remind me of how small we really are.

I can appreciate that. Especially your comment about how small we really are. I'm fortunate enough to have a square mile behind me (that's about 640 acres) where no one lives - other than along the roads. I have permission to be out there. Deer hunting. Whistle pig/woodchuck hunting - but most of all, just going out.
There's a pond there. Ducks all over. There's a Canadian goose that has a nest there. The momma (I assume momma) is on it every time I'm out there. She hunkers down when I show up - and I flat out refuse to get any closer than 60 yds. or so.)
I watch deer. Woodchucks (right before I shoot them), wild turkeys, birds, water rats (muskrats)......as I walk around I see coon tracks, coyote tracks (and there are some big ones out there).........when shooting, I wear head phones to deaden the noise of shooting - but they have microphones for enhancing the natural sounds. Ever hear a wood chuck whistle? I have. Ever hear a duck or goose take wing before you even see it? I have.
Nature. It's cool. No, I don't get to see bear, elk, moose, etc. I get to see what is native to this area.
Laying on the ground, rifle on the bipod - waiting for a chuck to come out - looking around. It puts you in your place. Walking around, seeing the tracks from coyote, coon, opossum, dealing with squirrels. Then just sitting back and taking it all in.
Oh - over there - a deer.
Geez, 30 turkeys over there.
Red tailed hawk getting a mouse or a snake.
Nature is great. Man is a part of it. The universe - man is next to nothing in it.
