I did not realize that,...but those probably aren't very good seats either.

I shouldn't even be talking. I don't go anyway,....it's just too far.

Out-of-towners ought to check out the RTA park-n-ride lots where they can take the Rapid (train) to the game and back to their car afterwards. It has to be a lot cheaper than paying the extortion they charge to park your car by the stadium. I'll never forget paying $25 to park going to the '97 World Series and being so shocked that it was so much. That's probably not that high now - but at the time I was almost tempted to just forego the game, except I had paid $90 each for 2 tickets. Expensive memories, but worth it I guess.

Seems to me he is a very good leadoff hitter. Gets on base and then can move himself up.

Well besides the strikeout problem he has

Problem is because Sizemore has some power it is wasted in the leadoff slot. With Brantley doing a good job, adding a potent bat like sizemore down in the middle of the line up could pay HUGE dividends. I actually wondered yesterday if they hit him leadoff to showcase him for a trade

Might just have been me, but he looked like like a 75 year old lady running on that double. And proof later -- even though it was a good throw -- they didn't send him.

Just tellin' ya what I heard...

Listening to Rizzo today and he said the same thing. He kind of implied - by being told by people in the "know" - that it's not entirely Acta's decision to bat Sizemore first, but that he's being "showcased" for a deal from above. He also said that while they're not actively shopping him, they're shopping him if you know what I mean.

1.50 each way on the rapid is a nice way to go downtown, don't have to deal with traffic. Parking has never been an issue for me, the lot I park at is $3-4 and a 3-4 block walk.

If you want to sit first baseline, park next to the stadium, and buy your food there, it is expensive. You can easily have tix, park and snacks for 10 bucks a person.

Gonna need a comeback now. 3-2 Royals after 6.

That's the way to do it.

3-3 with 1 on and no outs.

Man, we seem content to blow this game .... not taking advantage of situations, an error in the 8th, and now a walk by Perez. (which almost never happens)

Wow. Bad call on the 2nd error.

Joe Smith needs to get himself pulled together in a hurry here. Bases loaded. This could be the game here.

Royals leave 'em loaded! Still 3-3!

Indians have the top of their lineup coming up in the top of the 9th. Royals will have the bottom of their lineup coming up in the bottom of the 9th.

Are we that bad at bunting that Grady can't get to 2nd in time? I still have no way to listen to or watch these games so all of you are my eyes and ears.

Nah, it was a great play by the pitcher that just barely got Sizemore.

It was about 1/2 a second from being 1st and 2nd with no outs. Pitcher took one helluva chance.

I like the game channel right on the Indians website, I used it yesterday while STO wasn't working on my cable. It seemed to update pretty fast.

Indians up by 2 on the error by Escobar.

Laporta scores to make it 6-3 Indians!

7-3 Indians going to the bottom of the 9th.

Nice thing is that the Indians burned up a lot of the Royals bullpen ... which is a continuing trend for the Royals.

Colorado lost tonight, so we are now tied for the best record in the Majors.

Who really would have thought that out of the Tribe, Cavs, and Browns ... that THIS would be the Tribe's year? (At least starting out ...) 10% of the season is now complete. Of that 10%, we are a team that is #winning 75% of the time. If the trend continues we can still pull in close to 120 / 121 wins ...

Here's the thing though ..... if we just play .500 ball from here out, we win 90+ games .......and I think that this team can play better than .500 ball. Every team behind us has to play that much better than us just to catch us.

The starting pitching, defense, and bullpen have been stellar so far. We're one of the highest scoring teams thus far ... and have yet to get Santana and Choo really going. As a team we're hitting .265, which is good, but not "There's no way they can sustain that" good. Our bullpen has been incredible .... especially Perez, Perez, and Sipp ..... but then add in Smith and Pestano and we not only have a great bullpen ..... but we have lots of proven guys.

This team is doing everything well .... but nothing so well that it seems way above what they are capable of.

The Indians lineup is actually really good. As is the bullpen. The starting pitching is the question mark...

Look at what their starters are doing though.

Last year Tomlin allowed 3 runs or less in 9 of his 12 starts. He had a 4.56 ERA for the year, and that came down at the end of last year.

Carmona had a 3.77 ERA for last year.

Masterson took his lumps, but was very effective in 4 of his last 5 starts, as well as his late in the year relief appearances. He had a 3.84 ERA after the All Star break.

Carasco was, and is, young. He did strike out 38 in 44 innings pitched though.

Talbot is another guy who was bery good in a lot of his starts. (with him you either got very good, or very bad) Regardless, 1st full year in the Majors, on a poor defensive team, and he won 10 games with a 4.41 ERA. He seemed to wear out in the 2nd half of last year. Him already getting hurt is a huge concern to me ... because he could be the key to the staff. He will win a ton of games matched up against the other team's #4 or 5 .. if he's healthy.

Anyway, what these guys are doing to start the year can be seen as a natural progression of the wat they played last year. This year, though, they are getting most of the outs. Innings aren't being extended because of buttheaded errors on the infield. (last night being the exception) The defense behind them is crisp. The plays that should be made are, for the most part, made. I think that's a very important part ..... because it seemed like there was always an error or mistake that led to big innings last year. This year that's not happening.

For me the starting pitching isn't as big a question mark. It's development and continual growth for the young guys. I also think that Belcher is one hell of a pitching coach ..... and his beating guys over the head with "1st pitch strike" is why we haven't allowed a 1st inning run in something like 12 games. (knock on wood)

I was kind of glad to see some adversity yesterday. They got through it, and came out on top in the end. Good thing to see. There was no panic. They played hard till the end, and made their breaks in extra innings.

If the season ended today, we would host the Yankees in the playoffs, with Texas hosting KC.

I'm just sayin ...

Root 'em now before the "June Swoon" sets in. I am loving the start. We seem to want to throw strikes and score. Go, Indians! Da Tribe!
