I know it's only Profootballtalk, but it's still pretty cool.

Offensive linemen tend to be forgotten, at every level of football. Indeed, we posted a poll with the finalists for the PFT Heroes Award for the best offensive lineman of 2010.

And then we forgot all about it.

We’ve finally remembered. Based on your input we’re giving the award to Browns left tackle Joe Thomas.

Thomas, a four-year veteran, has started all 64 games of his career. He’s a four-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All Pro.

The other finalists were Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey, Chiefs guard Brian Waters, Buccaneers tackle Donald Penn, Packers guard Josh Sitton, and Falcons tackle Tyson Clabo.

A rare bright spot on a generally bad Browns team, Joe Thomas deserves a higher profile. We’re doing our part by recognizing a guy who seems to be destined to spend the rest of the decade playing the game not far from his ultimate football destination.

Canton, Ohio.

It's nice that they were able to work some slams on the Browns into what would seem like an ordinary person to be a complimentary piece on one of their players.

It's still true though. Most people here make fun of the Lions and other teams, but we have been at the bottom of the barrel for a long, long time. Only way to change what's written about us is to be good. We got 5 primetime games the year after we went 10 - 6 so I really do not buy "The media hates us" hype so many on here profess.

Great to see Joe Thomas get love; definitely deserves it.

What slams... the only slam was "A rare bright spot on a generally bad Browns team".... which is absolutely true.

We have won as many games the last 3 years as the Patriots did in 2010.

Offensive line has not been great since I was a kid in the 1960s and the Browns were among the best scoring teams. While Joe Thomas is a stud I would like the other stud OT from Wisconsin as the RT, that way we are covered in both tackles and could plug RG among several candidates. Pashos at RT( a guy who has been injured at least the last 3 seasons) is not what you want to depend on.
. Our Qbs will be happy.
. our Rbs will be happy.
. we wont have to keep a TE in to block so often
. Our recievers may have an extra couple seconds to get open
and Colt will be upright to spot them.
I think Cimini was his name. get Joe a bookend.
