Some of you may remember last week - in the game day forum I believe, I said something to the effect of "the game didn't matter much since a mother died in a car accident on Sat. evening, and her 10 yr. old daughter died Sunday. In fact, we got a phone call Sunday telling us Abigail had died.

Well, the funeral was today. The dad/husband got out of the hospital on Sat. - a week after the accident. The funeral was at a church due to the number of people that were going to attend.

Abby was 10. They kept her on life support until her siblings, from out of state, could get back here. Took less than a day. Then they pulled the plug.

Abby - the more I look at the pictures - could be my daughters sister......same age, same blond hair, same facial features.........

They had the funeral today, as Doug, the dad, got out of the hospital Sat. His 6 other kids were there with him.

One of the saddest days I've gone through. And no, I wasn't personally at the funeral - they had it on the net due to the number of people that expected...........

I'm a cryer....crier.......however you spell it. I'm a sensitive, caring person, no matter how I come across on here. But at the funeral, when they sang "Amazing Grace".........well, I cried throughout the whole thing, but that song really did me in.

For those that didn't see my post last week - mom and dad and Abby were on their way shopping. An 80 yr. old ran a stop sign. Hit them. Jen was dead at the scene, Doug was hurt, and Abby was taken in to the hospital in critical condition. Like I said - they kept her "alive" until her siblings could get there.

I guess all I can say is Jen and Abby got to meet God together.

Doug is my cousin- Jen was my cousin. Abby..............I have a daughter the same age. My nephew was in her class....

Keep that family in your thoughts........please. They need it.

This is such a sad story.

I especially feel for the father/husband who has to wonder why he lived when his wife and daughter did not.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family, and to all involved.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
