So a group including myself and my brother (Lyuokdea) are going to the game next week and are looking for suggestions on tailgating.

We probably plan on getting there around 8am-9am. I've heard of Longworth Hall. Does anyone have any information on that? Or any other places that might be good for a smallish tailgate? (table, grill, chairs, cornhole if there is room)

Any help would be appreciated!

I really can't help with that as I have no experience with it. But I would encourage you to post back in this thread about the general attitude of bengals fans. They're a strange lot who tend to over brag when the team is doing well and disappear when they're not. I'm really curious as to their demeanor.

Knowing Bengal fans, you might have the whole place to yourselves.

Have fun!

Sorry, but "tailgating" and "Cincinnati" do not belong in the same paragraph, let alone the same sentence.

Someone that has been there more recently than I should be along to help you out, but the last time I was there...let's just say it was comical.

Like Michelle, it's been a while since I've been there. Could be the same trip for Michelle and I as that was my last (and only) time there. I just remember that they were very inhospitable with allowing us to park to tailgate. Anything remotely close to the stadium required a pass - which we, of course, did not have. Mind you, the lots were darn near EMPTY, and they wouldn't allow us to even pay for a spot. We ended up in a parking deck, but we weren't allowed to use our grill (even on the top floor). One of the Cincy cops was nice and let us set up on the river front, where typically they didn't allow grills.

So, uh, good luck!

I'll be down by Longworth Hall. It's not bad.

At one time Cincy was a good place to tailgate, be it at bars resturants....had some good times there.

Since the new stadium went in, all the bars that were there, aren't there anymore.

Not sure what you guys are doing, but from my last few experiences there, staying in Ky, and doing your thing over there is the way to go. The walk across the bridge isn't bad....Howl at the Moon Saloon, and a few others I can't remember do the trick for me....and the night before.... Covington is pretty nice....the before mentioned as well as several nice local pubs, and several clubs you visit when your wife is either really drunk or not there at all and you forget to mention you paid a visit..

I have to go with Peen on this one. They have a huge annual fireworks display that the metal station WEBN puts on every year. The Cincy side isn't very friendly and seem very strict in every way possible.

Go to the other side of the river and it's a different world. More relaxed in every way you can think of. Everyone seems more friendly, the rules aren't nearly as stringent.

It's almost as if they actually want people who come there for a good time to have a good time.

Just wanna bump this to see if anyone else has any advice?

Looks like its just three of us making the trip. So a small tailgate or other pre-game ideas are welcomed.

Given that the game didn't sell out you should have good parking choices going that early. Just pick a lot and go...

One thing...I don't know what time the lots open down there. Might be later than we are used to in Cleveland. It was the last time I was there.

Have fun and bring us a BIG win!

I don't know either michelle but I do know the last time I went down there for a game we kind of wondered where everyone was at about 10:00. so I know where we were, it was open at 10:00.

Problem being, I wasn't driving and really didn't pay attention to where exactly we were in terms of which lot and where. I know it was by the railroad tracks though.

Really wish I could be of more help to this poster. I'll try to ask Nurse or B if they remember. Don't have Chuck's number to ask him. I do have some pics though. One especially may be of some help so I'll look it up and post it.

Man, I'm hoping to be around at least SOME people.

Guess not all cities can have good tailgating. My dad went to the Miami game and said there was nobody there either.

Thanks for trying to help.

Can't find that pic BTW

Oh there ended up being a lot of people but it's nothing like in Cleveland .They just came later which I don't think is all that odd.

I went to a game in Nashville once and we were to meet up with the Middle Tennesee Browns backers group.

We had to drive all around the stadium and the parking lots were almost deserted. Of course on that day it was closer to Cleveland weather than Nashville weather.

We finaly found a large group off in the distance and sure enough, it was them.

There will be a lot of people there, just don't expect them early. And the place we were at was by railroad track and wasn't too strict in regards to tailgating at all. Wish I had more info for you.

BTW- the game I went to in Tenn. we were behind 21-0 at half time and came back to win. All of a sudden the harsh weather was somehow our fault.

Theres a pretty big parking lot not to far from the stadium, its like a mini muni lot, tailgated there in 2008 and saw quite a bit of browns fans. Dont no the name of it, but i guess its pretty popular. They had a couple rvs, and buses painted bengal colors. They were playing cornhole and what not. Pretty big lot and the bengal fans were pretty kool. Maybe someone else no's the name of the lot on here, cuz i cant remember. It might be longworth hall..

I was at that game.

To be honest....I knew you then and it ticks me off you didn't tell me you were going to be there.....but that was 6-7 years ago, so I am not ticked anymore.

I personally liked the spin move norhtcutt did at the end to tie the game in regulation. If he gets tackled in bounds we lose. I remember yelling at the tv, get out of bounds, but he does this spin move to get around the defender and scores the tying td. Awesome game indeed..
