Good find!

So the teens didn't have to try out. But they did have a page-and-a-half of rules. Among them: No gum-chewing or consuming alcohol while in uniform. No excessive jewelry. No grooming on the field. No fraternizing with or dating the players. And, apparently, no cheering.

"One thing we could not do, we could not incite the crowd beyond, 'Go Browns!'" said Lynne Byall Benson, now a college professor in Boston.

No cheering? I'm pretty sure they'd fit right in with the last 11 years.

Well, I don't get a vote on the logo thing,,but if I did, I'd rather we stay away from it. I really don't think we need any logo at all.... JMO however

I didn't realize that I was running for office. Well, here's my platform.

1. Reasonably priced beer in CBS (make up for profit margin per beer with more volume sales).

2. Peyton Hillis T-Shirt Day vs. Baltimore (as a XMAS present to fans)

3. Pontbriand Football Snapper vs. Pitt (think McDonalds Happy Meal toy but with Pontbriand snapping a football back instead of the Transformers shooting)

4. Open Container law rebuffed in the Muni law for gamedays (but with police patrols to make sure people don't get too out of hand)

5. Cheerleaders at every game. But, with a twist. 4 local HS cheerleader teams get to come to each game to cheer in their normal uniforms, etc.(which schools get the honor rotates). No professional cheer teams.

6. Uniform code
A. No logos (obviously).
B. 3 Orange stripes on Brown and White jersey sleeves (along with 'AL' insignia on left shoulder patch).
C. Double Orange stripes on white pants.
D. Plain numbers / name font.
E. Orange jerseys used for 1 home game per year (one of the 2 NFC opponent home games).

7. Halftime shows include such things as honoring local state champion teams (football, soccer, volleyball, cross-country) along with some children competitions (punt/pass/kick....QB challenge like at the probowl, etc)

more items to be added as necessary

Hmm, I actually like that idea...That would be fun for the kids and nice for the schools.... cool Idea

Seems like they already did this a few years ago. It wasn't bad.

Yes, the Browns have done this on a few different occasions. I think they should make it a permanent fixture.

I'm not happy that most of the women's Browns gear has that stupid B logo on it.

Little pom poms and not much more ...

That outta get some people stirred up. LOL

(if so, well done)

That day sucked so bad. What happened to that ref? I assume he was fired and banned from the league?

Was there ever any official explanation for this, or was it just because it's the Browns?
