Anyone else pick this up?

What a great remake, they did an awesome job with this, brings me back to the days of going up to the arcade and playing.

Playing 2 on 2 online with 4 guys is a blast. If you are an older gamer and grew up playing the first few installments of NBA Jam you will love this game.

played the Wii version with 4 guys who still own the original on genesis and it was a total blast. Great remake and it just came out for the 360 too. Great fun!

You'd have to really, really like NBA Jam.

It was $50 on the Wii and it has more features.

I got the game for free basically (traded in Madden which I wasnt playing ever again and had $30 in credit from other purchases on Amazon) but Id gladly pay $50, the game is a blast.

I don't think I've ever bought a game on launch.

I haven't seen this new version but no way would I ever shell out $59 to play it. And I played NBA Jam and NBA HangTime religiously when I was in junior high.

i was just saying ... it's not the quality of the game that makes it worth the money, it's the value of the game to the individual gamer that makes it worth the money. so when people say "i wouldn't have paid $59.99 for the new madden," i usually say "your point? you aren't me so i don't expect that you would"

that's usually how i go. i tier my games.

i always let people know if it's worth the 60. some games will drop in price within 3 or 4 months, and some will stay 60 for a long time (halo, call of duty, etc)

i don't believe any sports game is really worth 60 bucks just for the fact that it becomes obsolete within a year. i did shell out 50 for 2k11.

luckily amazon is hooking me up. i bought a bunch of newer games recently and got them for a great price. black ops for 40 bucks. gran turismo 5 for 40 bucks. battlefield bad company 2 ultimate ed. for 40 bucks.

amazon is money for games. especially if you get the $20 credit, then trade your old games into them for credit.

I went the "$59 then get back a $20 giftcard" deal from Amazon for Red Dead Redemption. Played it for 4+ weeks then sold on eBay for $42.
