At last... a bit of love in the media.
Wednesday at 6:00 PM on NFL Network's "Playbook," they will be doing a segment on "how the Browns are taking out the top teams in the league."
Just thought My Dawgs would like to know.

was this part of the show? if it was, WOW. McCoy is impressive!
Not sure if it was this edition or not, Buckeyed11. I mis-programmed my DVR for the 6:00 showing and had to try again at the wee-hours rebroadcast. Happened to be up during the second showing, but went to bed right after the "Smashing Pumpkins" segment. Could be that it was on later in the program. Haven't had time to watch the rest of the show.
Anyway, I'm glad you shared the link with us- I missed it when it aired, and didn't even know Colt was featured. I agree- kid's looking pretty sharp.

I don't think django has posted since Tuesday.
He'll probably say I ran him off, as he said I ran off many other good posters. Must be some thin skin if I ran anyone off, ever.

Bummer, arch.
As infuriating as Django can be, I kinda like what he brings to the pack. I've left him alone for a couple weeks and let other Dawgs nip at his heels instead. The whole thing's quite entertaining. It's a duller board with him not around.
Years ago, I played in a string quartet with a violist who described his Dad as a "disgruntleled Browns fan." This was during the Marty/Bernie/MackByner/Slaughter years, and the Browns were lookin' rather good... so I asked him why.
Noah just said: "Idunno- He seems to just get more pleasure from b*tching about the Browns than he seems to get from seeing them win." I laughed and shook my head, because I just couldn't conceive of such a thing. To me, either you're a fan(atic) or you're just a guy who watches football. I never allowed myself to believe that a "fan" could be anything other than enthusisatic about His team.
BUT... after navigating the boards for years, I've come to realize that there are many different kinds of sports fans. Some are cheerleaders. Some are thoughtful analysts. Some are fair-weather fans. Some are a combination of traits. And some are jaded defeatists.
It's not my place to tell each of them how they should follow a team... and it's not my place to "put Django in his place," regarding how he chooses to follow the Browns. In some of his more recents posts, he mentioned wanting to see us do well, even if he thought the team's leadership was misguided. I'll give him that... and allow him a certain latitude when he makes those statements that make me want to bang my (his) head against a brick wall.
In some ways, I think I understand. I've played under conductors that I'll probably never give an even break to... even though they've coaxed great performances from orchestras over the years. I don't like their personalities, I don't like their rehearsal tactics, and I don't like the way they look on the podium. Doesn't make them bad folk- it just makes me opposed to them. I can't explain it... and as such, I won't burn Django too bad when he goes on a Manginirant. What I will try to do, is give him my take, and hope that he hears at least a small part of it. It's the least I can do for a guy who describes himself as a Browns fan first. If he hears me, great. If not... oh, well... at least I got my voice out on the boards, and maybe I'll give some other Dawg a new way to see things. It's all good.
For what it's worth, I hope Django comes back. He's passionate in his posts, knows a bit about football, and gets the pound to yappin'. As I see it, he's worth the time spent.
Django... where you at?

I don't see his name in the userlist (unless I somehow overlooked it) which means he was suspended/banned.

More medialove for O&B:
Tonight on NFL Network, they ran down the top 10 plays of the week.
#1 Play of the week: Wildcat handoff to Chanci Stuckey for the TD.
Love me some Browns.
