I know most people in NE Ohio do not want to even think about basketball due to LeBron joining the Heat. In addition, the Cavs are now a playoff bubble team at best and the new uniforms, in my opinion, are just hideous.

Now, considering all this, who will be playing NBA 2K11? IGN gave it a 9.5 rating stating that it is the best sports game to have ever been released on any platform. Will anybody play as the Cavs?

got it yesterday, it's phenomenal. i haven't gotten into the associaton or anything but i did the jordan challenge where you gotta drop 63 on the celts, get 6 assists, and stay over 50% from the floor. got it.

i then played a throwback game 89 cavs versus 89 pistons. mark price hits everything.

my only beef is that now that you showed me some classic teams. i want more, and i don't want to pay for them via ps store. next year should have like 50 classic teams, maybe like 3 or 4 from every franchise. why not have the fans vote for each team?

Do the classic teams have all the older players? I would assume some have to be missing if they didn't release their likeness to EA. I wouldn't think that former players are still within the NBA players union license deal for video games.

I know a ton of former NFL and NCAA players sued EA for that recently.

And yes, I "gave up" the NBA though I'd like to play as classic teams.

seems like they are the full squads.

i think the union is dif from the nfl, i dunno maybe the old nba guys get a cut. not sure. but i saw the big names, bird, isiah, mark price, laimbeer, dennis johnson, mchale, parish, etc...

so awesome. the 80s were the best era for bball and there are quite a few of teams from there.

Picked this up for ps3 but haven't had time to play it. I'll just create myself and lead the Cavs to glory in association mode, who needs LeChump?

Its pretty much the same as My Player except you use Michael Jordan (the year he entered the NBA) and you draft him to whatever team you want and create a new legend for him in the current NBA.

Yeah, I have just been doing the Jordan Challenge and playing a buddy online. The Association mode is pretty great, kills Maddens franchise mode, I just dont have the time to put in a full season.

I am loving playing online though, I havent had any issues and the games I have been playing have all been close.

Its a fun game.

if i had to rank goty with games i have played in 2010.

1. red dead redemption

2. nba 2k11

3. god of war 3

haven't played uncharted 2, halo reach, nhl 11

and to think, we still haven't seen gran turismo 5, fallout new vegas, or cod black ops. pretty impressive year for games.

I dont have NBA2k11 yet, I am still playing 2k10,which I love BUT God of War3 is the greatest game ever made. Just an incredible combo of graphics and sound, plenty of action but also plenty of problem solving. Just an epic masterpiece of a game.
