The Buffalo Bills have traded running back Marshawn Lynch to the Seattle Seahawks, Lynch's agent, Doug Hendrickson, told The Associated Press.
Buffalo will receive a 2011 fourth-round pick and a 2012 conditional pick, a Seahawks team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

I was hoping he would go to the Packers so I could pick him up in my fantasy league.

Wow, it's pretty rare to see an early season trade like that.

So Seattle passed on Spiller, but they're picking up the guy that he replaced ...

I guess they thought they needed the OT more.. and they are probably right.. its much easier to go find a RB than it is a quality OT..

I guess this raises Spiller's fantasy value now. Run to your fantasy site and get that request in......of course, we're talking about the Bills offense but he'll be the starter).
Why can't we get Vincent Jackson? I'd offer a 2nd and a conditional pick based on our wins and/or his production. Sure our 2nd could be a high pick, but he's legit and proven.

he's also a proven knucklehead and one slip up away from being suspended for the yr. No thanks.

Ya, I didn't say he was risk free.....I think with Delhomme, our offensive line, Hillis, and our defense he could be a missing link making us A LOT better. IF, and it's a big if, he can stay clean, it's worth a shot.
And we can control the contract extension too. Write in some wording about getting another DUI or something and it would void the rest of the contract and some portion of the signing bonus.
Just a thought.

Unless you're playing in a 4-team league ... Spiller is probably long gone.

I think San Diego is asking a fortune for him. Their GM, AJ Smith almost seems set on making an example out of him, so that other guys won't try to hold out in the future.

I think Lynch played for Cal or maybe in the Pac 10 ? Pete Carroll has probably seen lots of him and it sounds like a good deal for what they had to give up to get him.

If there comes any positive from that action, I'll gladly give up on Jackson.

He's one incident away from a full season suspension... there is no way in hell I'd trade for him.

kind of funny.... maybe both.
I think Seattle got huge value in this trade. Lynch needed a change of scenery, and always was a decent back on a bad team. I am shocked that GreenBay did not get involved in this- really dumb on their part. Jackson has shown next to nothing.
Jackson is just not worth the risk at the price San Diego is asking..... they are stuck on Brandon Marshall picks instead of Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edward deals.

Being a Seahawks season ticket holder, I think this is good news. I like Forsett, but with 150 or so career carries, he's an unknown. I like Leon Washington, but he's been used sparingly and is still recovering from last year's injury (gruesome broken leg if recall). And Julius Jones was just plain terrible. I'm not a fan of Lynch and he's probably a speeding ticket away from another suspension, but from a talent perspective he's an upgrade over Jones for sure. Any maybe a change of venue will be good for him.
