I have a very dear friend who is in need of our prayers. My friend is the mother of a Seminole player and the doctors have given her permission to go to tomorrow's game under the condition that she go to the game and then report straight to the hospital on Monday for open heart surgery to fix a badly damaged valve that is barely working. Cyn is holding her own right now, but is devastated at the thought of missing one of Dustin's games.

Please keep her in your prayers. She is a wonderful lady and loves life too much not to do what the doctors are requesting of her. I have a feeling that this is hitting Dustin pretty hard and he will be worrying about his mom. I've talked to him on several occassions and he is a wonderful kid who truly loves him mom. (and absolutely loves her spaghetti the night before a game.)

Let her know we wish her all the best, and a speedy recovery.

One thing she needs to realize is that she might miss a game or two,but it sure beats missing them all because she doesn't do what is best for her health.Her son needs to understand that too and tell his mom it's O.K.to miss the game.

Yes, Ooorah. I've known his mom for a few years now through another site I am a member of. She missed out on our get together this past July because she was making sure that she got him back to school. She is going to be attending our next get together in June of next year.

Just got a text from Cyn's hubby. She made it through the surgery, had a few issues but is resting comfortably now. Will probably have more news tomorrow.

Newest update on Cyn. Her son left me a message and wants everyone to know that the prayers were appreciated and to keep his mom in your thoughts. She will be in ICU for at least the next 3 days. The surgery was tougher than the doctors expected. Cyn's lung collapsed during surgery and the first valve replacement didn't take. It took a total of three tries for them to get a vavle that would work. Please keep the prayers going out to Cyn and "CJ" (family nickname for him) and the entire family. She is in good hands and I know that she will come through this with flying colors. This football family is praying full force for her.
