Anyone watching this on ESPN? They're following Joe Haden and Colt McCoy, along with CJ Spiller, Ben Tate and Mardy Gilyard. Neat look into some of the offseason goings-on.

I didn't catch the beginning but I caught the last hour and a half.. I taped it for my son to watch.. really interesting show and just luck I suppose that 2 of the people they chose to follow ended up in Cleveland... Joe Haden had to buy everybody on the defense an iphone or an ipad.. so he is waiting until the roster gets cut down to 53..

That's great!
Is that some sort of annual *hazing* thing, or just some sort of promise he made?

Evidently they impose some kind of shopping spree on the rookie with the biggest contract, which is obviously him.. I'm not sure who chose the iphone/ipad.. I got the impression he did not.
He did say that there wasn't really any hazing and the only thing the rookies had to do was make sure there were sunflower seeds at the meetings for the veterans who wanted them.. that's it.
Oh and during camp the rookies went to the Hall of Fame and this guy asked Colt McCoy what division the Browns were in and he didn't know... he laughed and said "In the NFL".. the guy asked again. "Not in the Big 12".. the guy asked again.. ."The AFC... west.. no, east.." I think it's funny that a big time college player doesn't know this, I've known what division every team was in since I was 5.. and when they realigned I had that down 20 minutes after it was announced too...

Who's "they"? And can I get in on that?

"They" is the other players.. no real specifics were given... you could call Fujita, he's the captain, see if he can hook you up with a Joe Haden Ipad..

I wonder if DQ remembers me from when I got his autograph and told him I named my fantasy football team after him...

He does, he still blames you for jinxing him with these injuries.

I thought the draft day stuff was interesting, especially with Mardy Gilyard, who got the call that he was being taken while he was at a gas station on his way to go crabbing. I was also wondering how a college kid had a brand new Camaro and so many diamond chains and bracelets

On the back of Gilyard's football card it states that when Mardy wasn't on scholarship in college, he lived out of his car and sold kitchen cutlery door to door in order to make ends meet.
In regards to the brand new camaro, I guess selling kitchen cutlery is a booming business these days.

...or maybe it was his 'cutting edge' sales technique...
