New Orleans -5 over Minnesota (Defending Super Bowl Champs are 6-0 when opening the season on Thursday night. I don't expect that to change this year).
New England -4 1/2 over Cincinnati (Subject to change based on Tom Brady's injuries from car accident. But at the current line, Vegas is begging you to take Cincinnati, I'll go New England).
BaltimorÞ +2 1/2 over New York Jets (I don't buy the Jets this year, and neither should you).
Kansas City +4 1/2 over San Diego. (Again, Vegas is begging you to take San Diego. Kansas City is my sleeper team of the year, I think they win this game outright.)
NCAAF:
Florida -15 1/2 over South Florida. (Florida isnt' a great team this year, but they are better than they looked last week. The action will be all over South Florida because of how Florida looked last week)
Michigan +4 over Notre Dame. (Again, Michigan is an 8 win team this year. They get #2 this week).
Alabama -12 over Penn State. (A Freshman QB going into 'Bama to face the #1 team in the country. A night game, and electric atmosphere... Alabama wins this game going away, even without Ingram).
***LOCK OF THE YEAR!***
Yes, it's only week 2 in college football, but I'm already calling this one the lock of the year!
Ohio State -8 1/2 over Miami.
Are you kidding me Vegas? Are you trying this hard to get me to bet Miami? Not happening! The line has gone from 10 to 8 1/2 in like 4 days! This is the biggest trap game I've ever seen! I'm not falling into it, Vegas. I'll be here to collect from all the suckers that are going to fall for your trickery!
nothing locked in, i usually always wait until saturday or sunday morning. (it's a ritual)
but just looking...
browns +3, not a homer pick either. i actually put hate and allegiences aside when betting. love the browns on that play.
detroit and the points.
carolina and the points.
if you're a better, week 1 for the nfl is a field day for people who understand how the system works. vegas has NO CLUE on what the season is going to look like, and are just throwing a lot of random numbers out there.
NCAA?
really looking hard at michigan.
ohio state i like but not as much as you
and im all over the tide on saturday. i think it gets ugly.
havent looked hard at anyone else quite yet though.
loev the over tonight in the auburn/ms st game too.

Surprised it's only -5 despite small lines on NFL games. NO team and fans rowdy and amped celebrating last season, Favre still hobbled with his ankle, getting back up to speed with his offense and without his best WR (Rice). Not to mention facing a defense that made him look pedestrian in that last game. What could go wrong?
Saints.

Yes, Vegas wants you to take the Bengals. But, I think it's more due to the annual overvalued Patriots. All offense, no defense vs. All defense, no offense. Normally, I go defense every time, but Cinci could still find a way to lose this game. Even so, I'd say it's a FG either way.
Cinci.

Best way to beat the Ravens this year is through the air with their decimated secondary. Best way for the Jets to win (especially until they get Holmes) is on the ground.
I trust Flacco more than Sanchez and Rice more than Greene. This one is easy:

Ok, KC can score this year, no doubt. Charles, T.Jones, McCluster, Bowe. Dang, that's a lot of weapons. But, exactly who is going to play defense for them? Mathews and Sproles could rack up huge numbers this game and Rivers is good enough to take advantage if they stack the box. I can see KC winning a shootout, but if SD plays any defense they win by a TD or more.
San Diego

I would have taken USF if last week at Miami(OH) didn't happen. No way Meyer doesn't make this a statement game and the Bulls are rebuilding this year.

You're going to love the logic on this one. Michigan IS a better team than Notre Dame this year, which means that ND wins this game (it's just how it works in this rivalry). I'd feel better about it if it was -3 though, which I think it will be by gametime.
ND.

"even without Ingram" as if Bama doesn't have a potentially better RB without him anyway
I think Bama wins this game. And wins it pretty easily. But, given Saban's history in games like this (for instance VaTech last year where he let off the gas and bled the clock) and JoePa's (he'll shorten the game to account for his young QB), I think that this one stays a 10 point margin for most of it and ends that way.

There ya have it! Who you got this week!?
The line is mostly accounting for all the Buckeyes laying money. I never bet on these teams with large betting masses, it skews the line too much unless they are equalled out on the other side (Hurricanes don't exactly have the same alumni base).
Buckeyes in Columbus facing what I think is an overrated Hurricanes team that sort of self-combusted after a fast start last year (once they had to play a couple real defenses). But, then you go and look back at that line....screw it:
Here's a question though. When was the last time an ACC team beat an out of conference top10 team?
They've lost the last couple Orange Bowls, VaTech has always spit the bit against top10 (Beamer is 1-18 lifetime). I couldn't think of any recent ones off the top of my head.
i've got kc over the chargers as an upset this week in my confience picks. 1-value only but still.
on a side note i am also hoping they win because i want them to be on their high horse when they come to cbs for week 2, you're never as focused coming off of a win (especially a big win, them beating sd would be huge) as you are coming off a loss.

$100 win on Florida $100 win on Michigan $100 win on Ohio State $500 win on the 3 team parlay with the 3!
Can I make this a $1k Saturday!?
Let's go!!!!!!
Damn, that's a nice score.
Just went down to the casino and placed a 5-teamer:
Falcons over Steelers at -2 Lions over Bears +6.5 Browns over Bucs +3 (was going to take Moneyline but chickened out) Raiders over Titans +6.5 Cardinals over Rams -3.5
I'm feeling good about this ticket. We'll see where it ends up.
I should go and lay a ton on Browns over Bucs straight up. NO WAY WE LOSE BABY!!!!!
Might go in the morning and do it!
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
The scary thing (knock on wood) is that I can easily see the Browns all alone in 1st place going into week 3 .... and at least tied for 1st going into week 4.
