I am trying to burn a DVD and have never had any problems doing it until recently. Every time I try and burn a DVD it get's to the end of it and a message pops up that says Error- Reset the Flag OPC failed.
I used to use Internet Explorer as my web browser but recently I switched to Firefox and I can't remember if I have burnt any DVD's since I have switched.
But would that even matter? Why would a program on my desktop have anythign to do with my web browser?
Any help would be appreciated, I have tried to search for that error but I can't find any helpful answers.

Found this on web.
Each time a CD Burner is setup for a CD Burning session the burner hardware will perform a 15 step power test to determine the OPC for a Blank Media Disc, OPC meaning Optimum Power Calibration.
Power Calibration Errors can occur when OPC or ROPC tests for the media disc so the condition of the disc, brand of disc and even the firmware for the CD Burner can be the cause for the errors occurring. Test the drive with more than one disc (650MB only) and even a different brand,
Update the firmware of your recorder. Try another brand of CD-R or CD-RW media. Try different power connectors, and for recorders, do not share power with other devices. It needs its own power connector.
Easiest thing to try is a different brand of disc.

I had issues burning w/ the cheaper non-brand discs and now I use Verbatim w/ no issues. Have you bought a new brand of discs recently?

Firmware is software that is embedded an electronic device.

.... and if there is an update for your burner, you can find it at the manufacturer's website. It will be model specific. The installation should be as simple as downloading the appropriate file (possibly zipped) and selecting install.
As was mentioned, take the simplest path and try other media. This is a useful reference for blank DVD quality. A firmware update is simple, but I don't think it is reversible.
The last time I had any issues it was due to Windows automatically switching to PIO mode due to read errors (from a disc with many scratches). The fix was easy enough after I realized what was wrong, but the best path forward is always the best informed and least invasive.

As others have suggested, try another disc.
I have tossed nearly entire sets of discs that wouldn't work, like 1 in 3 or 4 would burn the rest would claim there's no disc, or the disc is not readable, or something.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.
